This is a very nice compass for only $11. When I first got it, the red needle visible through its portal window viewfinder was about 10 degrees out of position (too far to the right). I needed to disassemble it slightly and rotate the compass (it is taped in place) to reposition it correctly. Now the red needle is in the middle of the field of view. Also I needed to unscrew and slightly reposition the swivel-up viewfinder because it was a little too far left. For $11 I'm happy. I didn't expect it to be as perfect as the $110 Cammenga compass, a similar more expensive design.

This is a good compass which feels solid to use and points north! The bezel rotates OK, there is a little bit of a squeak when turning sometimes but this is fairly typical but doesn't detract from the overall use of the compass. So far it works well, it is damped and settles quickly after movement.It comes with a carry pouch, and a carry strap.Happy with my purchase and certainly good value for money.
