After years of drinking soda I have switched to iced tea. This has brought about a journey to figure out how to inexpensively make tea at home. I started with a smaller glass container and used smaller tea bags. The previous pitcher I tried was a 68 ounce square container (which is 2 Liters equivalent). You'll see it in my reviews. It was a nice size and sturdy but there were some issues. One, the lid wasn't great and the seal stained. Two, it was very heavy. Three, I couldn't add hot water to it. Four, it had a big footprint in the fridge for a smaller size. 2 liters was not enough for a whole day of drinking tea. So I kept looking and found this Aofmee 81 oz glass pitcher.Details:- Pitcher is 81 oz. This is larger than 2 liters. But 60% the size of a gallon or 2.5 quarts. or 2.4 liters I don't know why they settled on 81 oz. for this container, I suspect they let the dimensions decide the size. Just calculate for 10 cups (10 x 8 oz)- Pitcher weights 5.1 pounds EMPTY. This is much lighter than my other one that was smaller. But keep in mind that 81 oz of water weighs over 5.2 pounds. So that means you're at 10 pounds when this is full. That is more than the weight of a full plastic gallon container. Pouring from 10 pounds can be wobbly so probably not good for those that have weak arm or hand strength.- That being said, this container was an improvement over the previous glass one for a few reasons. The glass seemed thinner but it was sturdy.- Handle feels very sturdy when pouring, does not feel like it will break in my hands- The lattice like texture is very nice. It feels nice and looks nice. I prefer it to the smooth alternatives.- It has a wide mouth that is easy to clean- It came with a free bottle scrubby for cleaning it- The lid is excellent. It has a straining opening or a nonstraining opening. It fits in there tight. The plastic gasket does not stain. It does not leak when pouring. It is easy to put on and take off.- Most Important: this glass is made from borosilicate glass. This means you can add hot water up to 300* to it! I couldn't do this with the other plastic pitcher I tried and I can't do it with the plastic pitcher I tried (safely).- It says it can be heated directly on the burner gas stove. I have not tried this. It does not fit into my microwave because of the height. But you can pour boiling (212*F) hot water directly in with no problem.Because of the weight of this pitcher and the fluid weight, I recommend always keeping one hand underneath to help support the weight when pouring. The seller does mention that in transport about 1% may break and so reach out to them if it arrives broken and they will send you a new one.The pitcher is 10.2 inches tall. I will post a picture of it next to my 1 gallon pitcher to show size.Because this pitcher was not 1 GALLON, I was wasting tea bags since I found the 1 gallon Lipton tea bags are great. If you use smaller tea bags, or use this for something else, there's no issue. I think this is the best large glass pitcher out there. It is lightweight but sturdy. Has a great lid. Easy to clean. Easy to pour. Looks beautiful. I still use this pitcher to brew my tea with my big tea bags, but then I transfer it to a gallon plastic pitcher and add water. I believe a 1 gallon glass pitcher is prohibitively heavy for most people so that is why I added in the plastic pitcher for my sweet tea journey.There are reviews of this cracking when hit on surfaces. It is glass, so that is to be expected. This is sturdy and strong and can handle boiling water but at the end of the day it is still made of GLASS. It isn't for kids or those that are rough with things. I am really pleased with it and would have been perfectly happy with it forever except that I needed a larger size for my tea bag brew since the large tea bag made 1 gallon. But if you use individual tea bags this would be perfect as long as you can handle the weight and caution that comes with glass.It is by far the prettiest of the pitchers I have. You could put it on the table with ice water or lemonade and it would be impressive.

I don't want to use plastic for anything anymore doing my best to get away from it so the past month I've bought four pictures The first two were nice they fit well in the refrigerator but they're not quite big enough The third one was oddly shaped and just took up too much room ended up getting broken because it was so big and bulky this one is just perfect fits in the refrigerator just right has 2 in from the ceiling of the refrigerator to the top of the lid it's strong it's ergonomically comfortable and it's just the perfect size picture not too big not too small just right highly recommend I'll probably get another one.... But then again I must say it is made of glass so I'll definitely be getting another one I'm rather clumsy :)

Cleans up well, feels and looks like a quality product. We have used this pitcher frequently and it has met/exceeded our expectations. Would definitely purchase again.

I attached photos of infusing the water with blueberry and orange slices overnight. I like my fruit to float loose in water versus stuffing it in a tube.The glass is a little thinner than I would like it to be. The handle is thinner than I would like it to be. However it seems sturdy enough and for the price and the cuteness I think it's a great deal for the money.This is a two hand carry item. I would definitely not recommend it for kids as it is kind of fragile - the handle is kind of thin and delicate.The design on the outside of the jar adds character and I do like that. I like the 3 pour spout options..... Totally sealed. Wide mouth flow. Filtered flow so ice cubes or your fruit do not fall into your glass.Easily fits in the fridge slim sleek design.If you can get over the fact that the glass is a little bit thinner than you might expect I think you will really enjoy this. I'm definitely keeping it.

I waited a while to review this glass pitcher, I wanted to be sure on my opinion. It works very well for me and seems quite sturdy. I have only used it to hold previously boiled water, I haven't tried to heat water on the stove in the pitcher. It keeps the water hot for a good amount of time and is pretty. I'm not thrilled with the metal lid, it kind of ruins the look of the pitcher, but a glass lid would probably be easily broken, and the metal lids works fine. I wish I had a choice of handle color when I ordered, the amber isn't as pretty in our kitchen as I would like. I would rather have had a clear handle option, or maybe dark green or blue.You may wonder why I boil my water in another pot and pour into this glass pitcher. It's just my preference to use a smaller pitcher that is not as heavy, and doing so doesn't tie up my other pot for other uses. I keep my glass pitcher full of boiled water to drink as desired.Update after 4.5 months of daily use: I bumped the bottom of the pitcher on the top of a glass and knocked a hole in the pitcher. Fortunately only a small amount of cold water was left in the pitcher, and it didn't shatter, just a few pieces of pitcher glass broke.

Love this so much I bought two! I hate drinking from plastic! This pitcher was great it kept the flavor of whatever I put in it pure no longer dealing with the plastic taste of other pitchers.

RAS, bonne taille (2l), bouchon intelligemment conçu, arrivée dans les temps. Seule restriction, la géométrie, la forme de la carafe en photo sur le site n'est pas exactement celle de la carafe que j'ai recue (forme conique plus allongée). Pas important en ce qui me concerne mais pourquoi ne pas présenter une photo du modèle livré ?

Good capacity for mealtime drinks, looks nice with the decorative pattern on the glazing. Lid is nice and secure, good at holding ice back. Lightweight and sits nicely on a shelf in my fridge. Too squat to fit in the door.

This is an excellent jug. I'm using it to brew and serve ice tea. Looks great and easy to clean.
