I am sure these switches would work fine but I purchased them in the reverse direction of what I needed. As temperature rises, the contacts close. I wanted the opposite to occur. This type of switch would turn on a small cooling fan if it gets too warm. I wanted it to turn on a heater if it gets too cold. Totally my fault.

I used these (35 deg C = 95 deg F) Normally Open (NO...switch closes when 35 C achieved) placed underneath my panels. Used romex and ran every 4 feet or so and 3 switches. Parallel connection as it were such that anytime one of them got hot enough it would enable my pool pump.

All of these thermal switches change state to "closed" at around 50 C and then the contacts fuse together. I used less than 1Amp at 24V. The switches never return to "open". Junk.

Bought the ten pack of 20 degrees C switches. Not one of them opened under any circumstances. Tried them in ice water. Contacts stayed closed. Placed a 120 watt soldering iron against them until it was so hot solder melted. Contacts stayed closed. Junk.
