I got this stock pot because I was looking for a deep fryer basket, but it turns out to be much more than that. First of all, I really like the way the handle comes off the fryer basket to make storage inside the pot very easy. I don't fry very often, but I do use the pot very often. I can just put the fryer basket aside and use the pot by itself for nearly everything. I love the measurement lines inside the pot and the anti-scold handles are really convenient and make the pot easy to use. I also love the glass lid because I can see what's happening inside as the food is cooking. Overall, I highly recommend this pot.

Very solid pot! The pot, handles and lid are all very strong and sturdy.I like the rubber grips on the handles and lid.The drain basket handle is easy to attach and detach. When locked in, the handle remains in place and secure to toss contents.The hook on back of the drain basket is helpful to suspend foods over the pot for draining.This pot with the basket is great for deep frying or steaming many different foods. Without the strainer basket it's also great for many foods like soups, stews and boiling stuff.On the inside of the pot there are measurement markings (for liters and quarts).The only thing that would have made this set better is if the lid had some type of built in niche to fit the basket handle so the lid could be more flush on the pot while the basket is in it. , You could take off the candle and the lid will fit fine with the basket in it. However, that would be inconvenient when you're ready to remove the basket and there is no handle on it.

This stock pot is the perfect size for my house of 2. I use it for soup, Mac & cheese, and it's great for steaming tamales!

So far, I am satisfied with this 6-quart pot with a strainer. I primarily use it for steaming broccoli, and I couldn't be happier! The measurement markings inside are beneficial, ensuring I always have the right amount of water, though they can sometimes be hard to see. Aside from the handle, it is not as thick as I would like, the overall construction feels like good quality, and it heats evenly on my gas stove.
