Although it should have been easy to install, I didn’t have help which would have made it super easy. But if you are handy, you will have no problem. The fault is not in the design or the installation, it was with me who had a problem getting it level & getting the hardware in just exactly the right spot on my window - not too high and not too low! The hardware is a clever design & super easy to attach the blind to. Once I got it done, it’s just beautiful!One thing I think is not correct in their description is the light blocking claim. It’s light filtering but does not block the light & you can see through it at night, hence the 4 star rating.

Really easy install and definitely a good blocker of incoming sun. Perfect for the bathroom window in the kids bathroom. Easy to pull and retract as well.

It’s a good thing I didn’t want a blackout blind, as this one allows a considerable amount of filtered light through, as I hoped. It stops the direct rays of sun that come through my south-facing French doors in the winter months from causing heat and glare, and it can provide privacy.The shades come fully assembled from the box, and the only task is to correctly mount the brackets in the frame. If you plan to mount it inside the frame of the door or window and the frame is irregular, be sure there’s a clear vertical or horizontal area that’s around 3†in depth for the brackets. Mine was very close, and that wasn’t helped by the fact that the shade holder was slightly warped when I took it from the box. As a consequence, I had a bit of a challenge getting one of the sides to snap into its bracket. But the good news is that should there be a problem with the bracket location and you need to drill new holes, they will be covered by the shade.It extended and gently retracted with no problem, but the case materials do not seem very sturdy, and I would have felt more secure had three brackets been provided. So I will be raising and lowering it carefully.

Easy to install. Took me longer to take down old shades and valances than to install these.
