I ordered this Aottop 18-Inch White Oscillating Pedestal Fan 2-Pack for use in my son's future dorm. My husband put them together, so here are his thoughts: These oscillating fans work well. Even on the low setting, plenty of air is being circulated. The remote is a nice feature, because who wants to get up and down to press a button? These fans come disassembled and took about 5 minutes each to assemble. Yes, they are plastic but they seem sturdy. Height can be adjusted as well.

Received my replacement as 1 of the two fans were damaged including the package. I have received now the replacement fan. I put the Fan together and it is emitting qn order from the fan motor in the back when it is plugged in and running. The smell resembles a motor burning somewhat like an engine! It smells as if something is burning in the motor of the fan itself!! Im very afraid to leave it on when im not home or very paranoid it will catch FIRE!! And burn my living space down. I do not what to do as this will be the second time I have had an issue and replacement if I submit a request!? Hoping it does not catch fire! It sure smells like it!!

First of all, the box was beat up. So, I opened the box expecting everything to be okay. Actually a couple of the fan pieces were damaged but it was mostly cosmetic. I put the damaged fan together and it worked fine,...mostly. There's a few glitches in the control panel, and when it oscillates for an extended period, it starts making a lot of clicking noise. Now about the second fan. No cosmetic damage and the fan runs but the controls don't work. The fan smells like hot circuitry but the house hasn't burned down yet. The remote works on the fan with the working control panel and doesn't work on the other one. Both fans blow nicely. And it was super easy to assemble. I wanted the remote so I could make changes in the speed when I was in bed. Not really worth the money. Why did I not return it? You ask. It would have been a lot of trouble to take apart and return. I would have been better off just getting a couple regular fans from lowes or home depot.

(This is a review for the Aottop 18-Inch White Oscillating Pedestal Fans 2-Pack.)These fans arrive in pieces and assembly is required, but not difficult. Much of the fan is made of plastic, which shouldn't be surprising these days. Even so, it seems sturdy enough for what it does. In addition to what you'd expect from a floor fan, these also come with small remote controls that let you select and adjust the settings from across the room. You can turn it off/on, adjust the speed, enable/disable swing (oscillation), or select one of the special modes. I'm not sure how useful the modes are, and I'll probably just set the fans to one of the speeds. These are decent fans, yet at their current price point of $99.99, I think they are overpriced.

This arrived in perfect condition and looks just like the pictures. Assembly is fairly simple and the instructions are clear and easy to follow. The fan is quite large and feels like pretty good quality. It is fairly quiet and puts out a good amount of air.

These are decent pedestal fans that are sold at a reasonable price. I really like the remote control feature and the large base that makes them very difficult to tip over. What I don’t like is the instructions for use and assembly. The instructions that shipped with mine did not match the model of fan, so certain details are not accurate. For example it specifically says to have the fan oscillate you need to push the button down on the back of the motor. There is no button to push, you make the fan oscillate using the remote control. Which is another issue, although there is a keypad on the unit, the oscillation feature can only be accessed with the remote. You can turn the fan on and cycle through the speeds with both the remote and keypad. All in all it’s a fine fan but for the same price I can probably find another fan without these issues.
