I have used their products for years. I had a sensor go bad and this was a perfect replacement.

The snap-on magnetic gauge on the Manchester propane tank that came with my RV stopped working after 11 years, and an identical replacement didn't work either, so the problem lies inside the tank, and I didn't want to have the tank repaired or replaced if there was a less labor-intensive solution. The Mopeka gauge, ordered from AP Products, is it. It costs about twice what the gauge that didn't work costs, but the ease of use makes it worth it. It uses ultrasound to measure the propane, and Bluetooth to communicate either with a dedicated little control device that you can get from the same source, or via a free downloadable cell phone app. I opted for the app. You can pair the gauge with more than one tank.My propane tank is mounted horizontally, and the app gives that as a setup option. You have to input the height of the tank.At first it registered empty, when I was pretty sure the tank was about 2/3 full. I think that's because, with a horizontal tank, the surface to which you apply the gauge is not flat. But the device comes with a little tube of "dielectric grease". Put a tiny dot of this on the gauge's sensor, and it works! Be sure to save the tube for repeated use -- it will be enough for many, many uses.I decided that the magnet, while sufficient for attachment while taking a reading, wouldn't withstand vibrations if left in place on the tank, and I don't want to duct-tape it to the tank, as another reviewer suggested. So I just keep it in a baggie with the tube of grease in the RV, and check it only occasionally, since the propane tank is not hard to reach. Be sure to wipe the bottom of the propane tank clean before using it, and close the app when you're not using it to save the device battery.

Very useful for my camper. I'm a full-time 5th wheel camper, and it's very nice to be able to glance at your phone for this information, instead of having to actually go outside to check the tank in the middle of the night.Tips:1) Take off the feet and the sensor when you take your tanks to get refilled. You will lose them otherwise.2) Close the app when you're not actively using it (really, close the app, don't just exit the app). Otherwise, it drains down the battery on the sensor as it continually updates itself.3) For whatever reason, occasionally it kind of goes crazy. Use common sense: if it was almost empty yesterday, it didn't suddenly, magically, refill itself. It would be nice if future versions of the app would allow you to choose the update rate. Seriously, every 5 seconds? How quickly do you think the average propane user is draining their tanks, exactly? Every 10 min. or so would be more than adequate.

I've been RVing since 2015, but this year was the first year I did any significant winter camping. I had nothing measuring my propane tanks at all, and this lack of planning rose up to bite me in the butt during some lovely weather with lows in the teens. I ran out, it was night and no one was open, and I ended up freezing my fresh tank outlet with the result of zero water available. I've got space heaters inside, so I was ok, but obviously I needed to do something different. I ended up doing a propane exchange for 2 of the 3 20 pound bottles (which is not the best idea since the exchanges are currently not filling them to 20 pounds due to pricing) and got my furnace going to unfreeze the basement.A friend recommended this system. I looked at the gauge levels, but this has bluetooth and you can read the levels from the comfort of your bed on your smartphone. I bought a set up for 3 tanks. They now come with the aluminum spacers, which I found to be quite sufficient for my needs. Setup is very quick and easy. I love the peace of mind knowing what my tank levels are at; I've already had to refill the 2 bottles supplying the furnace, which of course sucks up propane like nothing. Refilled at Tractor Supply and the monitors showed 100% until another (hopefully last) cold snap had the furnace on again. It really takes a lot of propane. I'm very pleased with my investment so far and feel very comfortable now being able to check levels whenever I know I've been using propane.

Product would not sync with my phone. After several attempts, I finally opened up the unit. Inside was a CR2032 Battery. I metered it. It was dead. I installed a new battery and unit worked fine. Terrible product quality control or this item was on shelf for five years. Should get a refund for my trouble. Amazon wins again selling old stock.
