The setup was easy to install and fits nicely in the UPS. Charge right up and work perfectly. I would not buy an off-brand. I recommend this to anybody.

My existing backup battery gave out (APC backup alarm went off and display showed low charge). I think this is the first replacement needed since buying the APC backup unit in 2017 from amazon. I was delighted when searching on amazon to find the RBC on sale and with same day delivery! All this 3 days before Xmas, amazing! The RBC fit and works just fine as you would expect of an OEM unit. Thus, really minimal downtime for the backup power for my computer.

I had two 1500VA APC UPS that were no longer holding a charge. Buying a brand new UPS seemed like an enormous waste of money since the device itself worked, and this official APC battery was like 1/4 the price of a new device. This replacement was super easy to install; no wires to connect, just literally pull out the old battery and drop this one in. Both UPSs are working fine now!

I have 2 of these battery backups for my computers. Both lasted for 4-5 years. When I found out I could replace the battery instead of the whole unit, I bought two. Easy to remove the old ones and the new ones just slip in. The company offers free return on old batteries for recycle - they send you a return label when you fill out the form. So easy and it saved a lot of money!

So I have the APC XS 1000 and according to APC's website, I should have purchased the APCRBC123 battery, however when Amazon searching for it I was presented both the APCRBC124 and the APCRBC123 options and it looks like I clicked on the APCRBC124 option and ordered it. Oops.The only difference I can see between the 123 and the 124 battery is that 123's sticker says 7Ah/12V while the 124's sticker says 9Ah/12V. I'm not going to try to understand totally what this all means. I've clearly read that others who also own the XS1000 UPS have used the 124 battery with claims that it allows for more capacity but I question that... APC has batteries like this 124 battery are compatible with multiple UPS's each UPS (using the same battery) yielding a different max power output, so there is more to runtime than just the battery's capacity here.I'm not entirely sure I'm yielding longer runtimes running the 124 battery in a system that should be getting the 123 battery but even with this uncertainty, the cost of the 124 battery was actually cheaper than the 123 battery. So even if i'm not getting the fully capacity if the 124, its working just as good as the 123 at a cheaper rate :)According to the battery's LCD, my runtime for the current load (30watts) is only 120 minutes however while using the APC's webpage calculator tool, I should be getting closer to 215minutes. I dont recall what the runtime was prior to the original battery failing as I never paid attention to it.The last 2 things I will say about this purchase,1. My new battery with a born on date of May 25, 2020 (and the purchase was done on Aug 14, 2020), the new battery showed that it was not charged at all while in the unit. I was starting to get skeptical if I could even use the 124 in a 123 unit, however after I left the unit for several hours and came back, I noticed the capacity % going up.2. Some people have claimed that you can't use the APC free return program if you dont by the battery direct from APC.. this is a false. Now perhaps at the time of their review this was true however at the time of this review, APC's only requirement to use the program is to purchase an OEM APC battery, regardless of where it comes from. During the request process, you dont even need to submit your purchase information. Clearly if you send APC a non OEM battery through the mail, they will have your contact info and hit you up for a bill.Here is the official wording from the website"this link is to be used solely by customers who have purchased a genuine APC RBC and who are therefore rightfully entitled to free return shipping of the old battery. APC reserves the right to investigate and prosecute unauthorized use or abuse of this secure URL"As you can see, there is no mention of purchasing direct from APC. Just make sure your not buying a APC knockoff battery ;)

Product took a few days to cycle in the UPS and charge, but is fully functional.Installing new batteries in UPS's can be a "fun" process, since sometimes you have to re-seat them, and let them properly charge over a few days.The product has had no issues, and I've heard the UPS click over a few times and do the job.I recycled an APC Back-UPS Pro 1300 from a thrift store for 15$, new battery for 78$ (at the time), and works like new!
