I bought this ORP tester and it works great. Easy to use with a bright backlight. I use it for work where I can verify that commercial pool controllers have properly working installed orp probes. Makes the troubleshooting process a lot easier.

2 month of usage, i did calibrate on arrival since then the meter stayed calibrated, reading are quick, accurate, i love it so far,its my third year doing hydroponics, and i had used a couple of cheap and less cheap meter and PH drops before, and they all proved to be unreliable, i ve been focusing and worrying too much (of what i should of) about accuracy, but after trying this onethis Apera meter i trust

I purchased the Apera Instruments Premium Line ORP60 Pocket ORP Tester Kit, Replaceable Probe, 1 mV/±0.2% F.S Accuracy, ±1000 mV Range.I used the ORP60 a couple of times and it seemed to work fine. I soon discovered a fatal design flaw...the colored blue cap on the top has a clip on it. I clipped this onto the container I was measuring. When I unclipped it from the container, the instrument rather easily separated from the clipped top and the instrument dropped into the liquid I was measuring. The instrument was submerged briefly before I pulled it out, dried it off and tried the bag of rice trick (put it in a bag of rice to absorb the moisture for several days). The liquid must have short-circuited the electronics as it has not functioned since.I don't see a place to request a repair. Customer service to help rectify the situation would be much appreciated.Anyone purchasing or using these instruments should be aware of this flaw. Folks may want to consider taping the top cap to the instrument. It will make it more difficult to change the batteries however...but at least you won't be left with a useless instrument.

Let me say that I really like this company. I have a couple of their other products and I really like them ( their ph meters are the best out there imo ). But I'm just not getting the same feeling with the orp meter. It takes 5-10 minutes to get a stable orp reading. And it doesn't seem on par with my other orp meter ( Milwaukee ).For the price I expected a much better meter with 10x faster readings. It's basically unusable for me.

Ordered OPR60 Tester. The laminated instruction card is for the PH60 Tester NOT the OPR60 Tester. The paper version is correct for the OPR60.

Calibrated multiple times with 222mV standard, when measuring water with a value of 700mV the reading was more than 300mV off, even though 700mV is within the specified range.

Peut être un problème dans mon eau de piscine au sel ??? pas de mesure stable, la mesure semble correcte sur les premières secondes et ensuite décrois rapidement, bien que dans la solution d’étalonnage la mesure est stable ????Pour le moment appareil inutilisable

Ich habe eine praktikable und trotzdem genaue Möglichkeit gesucht, mein Poolwasser ohne Nachkauf-Chemie (Teststreifen oder -tabletten) kontrollieren zu können. Mit diesem Gerät - in Kombination mit einem pH-Messgerät - klappt es.
