Works great, I have used them for over a month now and have had zero issues. Highly recommend.

Very good quality tool, a must have for a mini split install or repair. You must remove that valve core to get a good deep vacuum. And in my case, I also had a leaky valve core, I had to replace that valve core. This tool made the job easy.

Needed new core removers for a new 410A system at my house. These sealed the system perfectly for my pressure and vacuum testing. I'd highly recommend paying a little more for these so you are not chasing ghost leaks like I was while using adapters on other valves.

As a consequence of installing a pre charged condenser heat pump system, a valve core removal tool is a key element needed for the setup of the system. It is used with a pressurized nitrogen source to test the line set installation for leaks, and also with a vacuum pump to evacuate the line set prior to adding refrigerant.I initially attempted to perform the tests with similar cheaper devices, but I discovered that there were vacuum leaks with one, and un-reliable shrader valve capture with another. Save your time and get the Appion one, which is also the choice of many pros.

Used to install a mini split. Fit perfectly and the schrader removal tip fit nice and tight onto the schrader valve. Appion then expects you to retract the schrader and close the valve and remove the back part of the tool to connect a vacuum line. The issue with that is that once it is pumped down, and the vacuum line is removed, a small amount of air will be introduced into the system when the schrader valve is re-installed. I suggest adding a tee and a valve to the gauge port so that the schrader stays inside the tool and under vacuum the whole time. Never close the valve on the Appion tool.I am happy that the seal on the back of the appion tool was able to hold great vacuum during the evacuation and I was able to then re-insert the schrader maintaining good vacuum the whole time. Nice product, though I think they should redesign with a second port and valve near the gauge port to use it as I did.

Made in USA. Excellent build quality. Why trust anything else when you can be sure these will work?

These and the 1/4 are must have for HVAC service. Pink is for mini splits and black are your standard 1/4 service valve.
