Only used for a couple days but it works fine. One good trick I learned to get the brake pedal out of your way while you are installing this,start the car push the brake pedal all the way down and zip tie it to the steering shaft then turn off the car and proceed with changing it out one other thing make sure you have the rubber stopper on the brake foot lever or else the little white pin on this switch will go right through the hole so you must have the rubber stopper or something otherwise the pin in this switch will go right through the hole

I pulled the old one out after realizing the car wasn't recognizing the brake was applied(via brake light visibly) and letting the transmission go into any other gear than park. I cleaned the old one and applied wd40 to get me by. It lasted a few days and then failed again. Luckily I ordered this just in case and it came right when I needed it. No problems since.

Does not fit a 2010 Kia Soul as Amazon said it did. The connectors are completely different. Do not purchase this part for a 2010 Kia Soul.
