Couldn’t do the reset before buying these. Installed them and then I could do the mx error reset.

Performed the sensor reset procedure but it would not reset because the sensors are not starting out at zero ohms. Had to apply a jumper wire to initially reset then reinstall sensor.

I have a 2017 BMW X5 eDrive with 137k miles on it. I’ve owned it since new and it’s been the best car i’ve ever had by a long shot! After the warranty ran out i’ve been tackling the maintenance myself at home! At around 125k my car says it’s time for my first rear brake pad replacement. So I go buy Bosch pads, rotors and these sensors. Well, after about 10k miles, my car says it’s time for rear brakes again! My car has regenerative braking (because it’s a hybrid) so my brakes last far longer than a conventional car so I'm confused as to what happened! I take the right rear wheel off to inspect the pads and sensor and the first thing i see is the pads have a ton of meat left (as they should as they are brand new) and i find the sensor wire is split at a join (you can just make it out in my fuzzy photo haha). When unpacking this set originally, the wire felt a bit fragile, a little too fragile, especially for that area of the vehicle. My best advice, if you buy this particular set, is to use Tessa tape on the wire to protect it from heat and debris. It worked fine until that mishap so just put extra care when installing and protect that wire! To avoid headaches, try to find an OE brand that supplies these sensors.Hope this helps!

I try to replace my brake pads before it wears the sensor down on my BMW X5, but just missed this time. The cable, connector and sensor were OEM quality and were shipped quickly.

Got these for a brake job. Sensor is DOA. Of course it’s now past the return period. Get some somewhere else!
