The cap fell off the front nipple after about a week of driving. Made the car sound bad obviously. Not really sure why that connector exists, but I am glad I had a spare cap to screw on it.

This is of great quality and it fit perfectly on my car, This was the cheapest one I found and it seems to be working well. No more exhaust leaks and loud noise.
