The leads connect to your 110 volt supply and the screw terminals then provide the 24 volt output to the humidifier. The Aprilaire 4010 humidifier transformer is designed for use with Aprilaire humidifiers 400, 550, 550a, 558, 560, 560a, 568 amp; 600.

This transformer works well for powering thermostats in situations where there is no "C" wire present at the thermostat location. You can mount it in a single gang electrical box in the wall (should be metal); I made a bracket to hold it securely in the box. Then run 110 VAC from a nearby outlet box into the thermostat box to the primary side of the transformer; run 24 VAC from the secondary side of the transformer to the thermostat (all wires inside the wall). Works like a champ.

Nothing special here. Good product at a good price. Sure beats driving to a big box store to find they don't have what you need or it's more expensive.

Bought to replace my malfunctioning one. Easy to connect and worked as soon as I fired it up. I wish the wires were solid and not stranded.
