Barndoors' shutters are designed with large blades for more precise light control; the interior of the shutters is made of light-absorbing velvet, which can reduce the reflection of the leaves to a greater extent.

I added this to my amaran 300c with the fresnel lens attached to it and I gotta say, as simple as it is, the barn doors have changed my life. For four nights in a row, I kept experimenting with lighting a car at night, but the spill from the lights was insane and I couldn’t figure out why. So I threw my barn doors on there, something I should’ve thought of sooner, and it fixed the problem I couldn’t solve. Being able to shape your light is an invaluable tool.

Der Scheunentor-Vorsatz sitzt bei mir auf einem Neewer Videolicht vom Typ FS. Dort passt der Vorsatz wie dafür gemacht und ist angenehm solide. Die Scheunentore bewegen sich absolut spielfrei und lassen sich komplett schließen. Der Farbfilter-Einsatz wird auf einer Seite von 2 starken Magneten gehalten und lässt sich dank dieser ganz einfach einsetzen bzw. herausnehmen.Preis-Leistung top. Klare Empfehlung.

This is a serious tool for filmmakers, vloggers and photographers. I'm using it with my Amaran 300C, 150C and Neewer CB300 lights.Straight from unboxing it's apparent how much this improves upon the stock barn doors supplied with many low cost COB lights. The doors themselves are shaped to do a better job of blocking and shaping light, in line with the doors seen on theatre and professional cine gear. A very nice touch is the matte black flocking glued onto the inner side of the doors to avoid undesirable reflections or light leaks.I found that the door assembly attaches securely to all of my different Bowens mount silver reflectors (eg Aputure, Amaran, Neewer, Godox). Of course it attaches snugly to the Aputure Fresnel 2X for which it's a perfect complement.Inside the doors there's a separate gel holder that allows me to insert slices of gel from professional suppliers like Rosco and Lee. Another addition is a removable 30 degree grid for more beam control.The last piece of the kit is a unique shallow black dish with a Bowens mount and a 7 inch ring that the barn doors can be attached to. I found that this works really well to give a harder edge to the light when cutting it with the doors. It's much more contrasty than I can get using the stock silver reflectors.Once attached to a reflector, fresnel or the black dish, the doors can be rotated easily to any angle and stay solidly in place by friction.The only additional thing I could wish for would be a padded carrying bag, like the Fresnel 2X comes with. As it is it comes in an easily bent up cardboard box, but hey, it's such a gorgeous piece of kit I can't really complain.

La fattura è buona, e le alette sono internamente foderate di velluto per impedire riflessi incontrollati.Dalle recensioni avevo letto che fosse applicapbile a tutti i riflettori standard da 7" , così avrei potuto usarlo anche con i flash da studio che hanno la lampada che oltrepassa il riflettore in dotazione, rendendo di fatto inutilizzabile le barn doors.Il riflettore in dotazione non è 7", ma 6.3". Ho cercato di trovare un riflettore da 6.3" sfuso, ma senza successo. Mi tocca effettuare il reso. Peccato...

I love this product! The build quality is excellent and justifies the price. The Aputure Barn Doors enhance my video lighting significantly by shaping the light perfectly and preventing excess spill. The 30º honeycomb grid offers precise control over light direction, which is fantastic for filming, and the magnetic gel holder makes adding color easy. Made from aircraft-grade aluminum, the barn doors are lightweight yet durable, and the black velvet fabric on the leaves effectively absorbs light, preventing leaks and bounces. Overall, it's a great addition to my lighting setup.
