Small Size, Unlimited Possibilities
The STORM 80c features a compact design and removable yoke to stash wherever you need. Without the yoke the light measures just 6”x4”x4’ and 1kg. The yoke attachment points are 3/8in threaded sockets, so common grip mounts can be used to rig the light wherever you need. An optional handgrip with battery mount is also available.
Battery Options Small and Large
The STORM 80c can be powered from AC, V-mount batteries, or USB-C. Aputure makes an optional STORM 80c Handheld Bracket, with a V-mount battery plate and D-Tap cable. The STORM 80c also features a 100W USB-C port to power directly from inexpensive and lightweight power banks.
Mini ProLock Bowens Mount
The STORM 80c features a mini version of the ProLock locking Bowens Mount, a more secure clamping design for attaching modifiers. Aputure offers modifiers with the Mini ProLock and an adapter to standard Bowens Mount.

BLAIR-CG: Colors Never Before Seen on an LED
The STORM 80c’s new BLAIR-CG light engine is the best tunable color light ever produced in an LED, delivering the greatest range and highest color accuracy. It can reach 90% of Rec2020 color space, achieving saturated colors in shades otherwise unobtainable, such as accurate yellow. The calibrated indigo emitter enhances fluorescing materials, resulting in white light that better matches natural daylight and tungsten. CRI 97+, SSI [P3200]): 88, SSI (CIE D5600): 84.
1,800-20,000K CCT and Full +/- Green Adjustability
The STORM 80c offers a best-in-class CCT range, the smallest, most portable light to do so. The color flexibility also offers 100% +/- green control, the full ASC MITC range of adjustment.
Multiple Control Options
The STORM 80c features professional connectivity options used in modern lighting: Sidus Mesh, CRMX, and DMX.
IP65 Weather Protection
Head-to-toe IP65 dust and weather protection means the STORM 80c can work in extreme environments. Seals on every connector and around components allow the light to be used outside in the rain.

When it comes to the quality of this light, it has surpassed what I was expecting to get. The whole thing is nothing like the light that I am used to working with, this ones is so much better!!! When it comes to changing the color and adjusting it, this thing is so much easier to work with. The adjustments in the back are so easy to use that getting just the right color, brightness and hue that we want or trying to get is easily obtainable thanks to this light. While we did have some water splash on this, I immediately ran over to check to make sure that everything was still working, and it was!! We have several different covers that we were even able to use with this light but do like that it came with one as well. The bonus is that it came with a storage case which makes it so much easier to store away when we are not using it. Fits on our stand too.

I had been looking for a small LED light that I could use indoors or outdoors, considering I live in the Pacific Northwest and often encounter drizzly conditions. I also wanted a light that works within the Aputure ecosystem. After comparing this to the Nanlite Forza 60C, I decided on the Aputure 80C because it is more rugged and offers more accessories.The light is small and feels dense for its size. However, it is pretty bright, and I appreciate the ability to fine-tune the output and the fantastic color when shooting with "white" light. The BLAIR-CG light (Blue/Lime/Amber/Indigo/Red/Cyan/Green) does make a difference in skin tones. It's a minor thing, but I appreciate the Vmount built into the yolk of the light. I hope Aputure comes out with a light between the 80c and the 1000c, as I will buy it if they do.Don't hesitate to purchase this light if you want something small, excellent quality, rugged, color-accurate, and bright for the size.
