This wave maker is STRONG!I bought it for a 90g tank and it’s almost too strong! I think it would also work really well in a 5 foot or longer aquarium because it really moves some water.The magnet to hold it on to the side of the aquarium is super strong too.For as strong as it is, I was shocked at how quiet it is!I am not going to keep it where it is in the photo. I am planning on putting it in the back of the aquarium behind some large pieces of driftwood and rocks where a lot of gunk accumulates. I will also put it on a timer so that it only comes on for a short period of the day. This should help to clean up the detritus collecting in the back corners of my tank.If you have fish that enjoy a strong current, this is for you!

I gave this product three stars because I have two of them and one works perfectly. The other one sounds like an angry rattle snake. The noise was intermittent at first and would go away if I unplugged it and then plugged it back in. I've taken it apart twice and can find or see nothing that would cause it to rattle so loudly. Now it just rattles constantly. I know this is an inexpensive product so I don't expect it to be perfect. I'm going to order one more and hope I get another good one. If not I'll return it and look elsewhere.I'm running these in a 29gl tank and (when working properly) together they provide the perfect amount of flow to keep the water circulating.*I'm changing my rating to one star. The one power head that was not noisy has now stopped working properly. It still works, just that the flow decreases to almost nothing unless I unplug it and plug it back in. The third one I ordered is now making the same noise as the second one I ordered. I'm done with this brand. Cheap and not very well made. Going back to Hydor which is what I should've stuck with in the first place.

ordered 2 of the 15w units. both arrived quick, well packaged. I have a 200 gallon tank with 3/4" thick acrylic walls on which these mounted strong.one unit started making a small rattling noise within a week, by the end of 3 weeks it was louder than an angry person talking loudly. Also it would no longer circulate water. Returned it and received the replacement fast.Today, as I write this, the other one I originally ordered is starting to make the loud rattling noise.I verified the voltage to the circulator as not low, which was a concern. I don't know what i could be doing wrong to make these fail as I bought these types of things for years for all my tanks. I never had a petco (more expensive ) version fail.I will return the second 1 and see what happens. if both units last more than a month, its a slight win, but I would like to see at least a year. mixed results for me.
