I have been using the other pur filters and seen these, decided to give them a try and don't regret it. They filter the water faster than the OG ones and at first that made me nervous. They work perfectly fine and I can't taste the difference in the filters.

These fit my Pur tap pitcher just fine. You can tell these filters aren’t quite the quality level of the Pur ones. They’re a bit lighter and the water flows through them much more rapidly. The taste is good, but when new not quite the same as the Pur. For the money it’s hard to beat, but you just have to accept the dip in performance over Pur. I’ll have to see if each filter lasts around as long as the Pur does. I’m on the fence if I’d buy these again or just suck it up and get the Pur filters.

Three things are good about these "Aqua Crest" filters.First, they are cheap. Costs almost 40% less than the price of the same type of filters we would pay with the original Pur filters of this type (AQK-CF10A), and we get 4 cartridges instead of the usual three from Pur.Secondly, the water flows through the filtraton faster than Pur filter (which usually takes much longer), the cartridge is a tad longer than Pur filter, but fits the Pur (30 cup) dispenser perfectly.Thirdly, we like that the filters are NSF certified. It uses (coconut shell) activated carbon and high-quality ion-exchange resin, etc., the filtered water has no chlorine smell, no plastic smell, or any other smells for that matter, gives cean and flesh taste.What we'd like to see included in the Aqua Crest filters as well: that it filters out "nanoplastic" which seems to be everywhere in our life these days. And that it also filters out Clostridium. Maybe these are included in the fact sheet of those 100+ it advertised, but we don't have that info (not included in the package).** [Note] ** The black stain in the water or the black specks in the water that we see when first install/replace the filter is common, that is because of the activated carbon inside the cartridges. It will disappear after a couple of filtration, or you can rinse the filter out for a few times before install it in the pitcher/dispenser. Pur filters do/have the same thing (of which we've been using for 2 decades now), there is nothing wrong with the filters, nor does it mean the filters are bad or defective.

I love my pur water filter pitcher and these are affordable replacements that last a long time they're easy to replace. They filter good because I can tell the difference in the taste of water when it needs a new filter. I push the limits well past the recommended 3 months replacement and I refill my container daily. No leakage and is compatible with the larger pur water container.

I ordered these for my mother who prefers the PUR product but cannot get filters locally anymore. She even tried two other models of water jug in the interim and both fell short of her needs. These fit her old PUR water jug perfectly and she finds the filtered water to be up to her expectations.
