Good product as long as you know what you're getting into. Will buy again.I live in the mountains and there is a ton of minerals in my water. This reduces the mineral content drastically and makes car washing much easier. Not 100% spot free but I don't think there is a product that will do that unless you spend hundreds on a professional de-ionizer.The plastic is pretty low quality and the threads strip easy. Had an issue and customer service took care of me promptly. My advice, buy some quick disconnects so you only have to screw them on once and use plumbers tape.

UPDATE: Very pleased with company. They sent me a brand new 2-pack as soon as they got my message and we have now purchased a small brass fitting with a toggle switch that we just leave screwed into the filter and attach the brass piece to the end of our hose instead of attaching the plastic filter. What I like: it's perfect for filtering out hard water calcium when filling our outdoor fountain or hosing off the glass patio table and windows after a storm. No more white spots on glass or hard calcium deposits on our cement fountain.What I don't like: We just received this 2 pack 1 week ago and today was the third time used. We bought a hose extender as they suggested, but our water spigot is so low to ground, we couldn't use it, so I just screwed the filter directly on to the faucet. Went on perfectly the first 2 times. Today, I noticed it wasn't screwing on at all. I looked and the plastic threads are such soft plastic, they don't have threads anymore to get it started. I screwed it in half way and cock-eyed anyway because we needed to fill fountain but water gushed out the sides because the screw threads are shot. I'm going to request they send me a replacement and I'll go buy a small brass head with a toggle switch and just leave it permanently screwed into the filter until it no longer works.

Professional detailer and surface specialist here.A client asked me if this filter would be equivalent to my expensive filter/ deionizer as far as filtering impurities. I said “let’s find outâ€. The results are in the pictures. My vehicle is black and ceramic coated so you can see the results best. The coating itself obviously does not stop water spotting however the filter should considering how it is marketed. My guess was before use I would have some water spotting but minimal. I was wrong. I had the same amount of water spotting as I did without the filter. With all that being said my personal and professional opinion is to not waste your money on this product because at this point I’m not really sure what this product actually does if it does anything. You’d be better off buying that $1500 filter/deionizer or washing vehicle under a tent or in the shade to give you time to dry the vehicle before spotting occurs. Also invest in an electric blower to help speed the drying process and limit wiping on surfaces especially if they’ve been paint corrected.

The degree of effectiveness seems onto vary according to others who reviewed this but for me, this filter indeed does work when used with my pressure washer. It probably has something to do with the water quality of your specific municipality but if your city has decently clean tap water, this thing leaves no water spots at all. I no longer have to scramble to dry my car quickly on a sunny day. Highly recommended.

Easy to use . Does exactly as advertised. Works great with the RainX car washing soap . Zero residue . Zero dried water spots . To work properly , however , divide the washing area into sections . Wash one section at a time with soap , then rinse with water so that soap residue has minimal time to dry . Then proceed on the rest of your vehicle . This works excellent when washing your house windows too . Very pleased with the purchase .

So this filter made absolutly no change on water spots on my vehicle. Maybe because I have well water? Not sure but I have a whole house filter system and a water softener. After i had my windshield replaced and I washed my truck, the water spots were just as bad as before.
