I was hesitant to buy this because I thought it would be a cheap Chinese garbage product. But no, it's absolutely amazing. My old charcoal cartridge filter system went out and my 55 gallon tank was disgusting in the couple days I waited for this to arrive. This awesome little thing cleared it in about an hour. The filters are reusable and it is very easily cleaned. Completely silent because it's submerged. Simple to install. It can be placed vertically or horizontally for shallow tanks (turtles, etc). It aerates the water with its strong blast (it can be turned down or off), my fish absolutely love swimming against the current. I've had it a couple weeks now and zero problems. Obviously I highly recommend this for any size tank. ðŸŸ

Product would clean and filter nicely but all of a sudden just after 2 months of using this product, I've been having crazy amounts of dirt build up along with cloudy water. I do water changes bi weekly and water gets cloudy after just a few days. I have live plants that would usually help with the cloudiness but no luck. Product also makes a very noticeable grinding noise from the propeller boucing in the filter. I really had some faith for this item and was looking to purchase another to Replace my Penguin 375 for my other tank after 4 years but probably not.

Under water pump: At first I thought the pump would move too much water in the 75 gallon tank where we have 10 large goldfish but that didn't end up being a problem. Placing the pump so that it sent the stream along the long side of the sank proved good for additional water circulation and the fish seemed to enjoy swimming towards the pump and letting the current push them back. they would also stay low under the flow and swim like they were going somewhere.I have not used a pump like this in a smaller tank so be aware that you fish need a low current area as well as some pleasant activity space.

It’s okay. Lots of power, but it doesn’t clean or keep the tank as clean as I would like. Currently looking for something better for my tank. All of my plants have already build up on them that I have to clean off constantly. And I now have ales build up on my drift wood and the glass, whereas with my last filter I didn’t - it was spotless.

Junk. Motor runs but impeller stays still. If you want something to vibrate in your tank but not actually pump, this is just the thing for you.
