Original organic soil
Hygger CO2 aquarium substrate is carefully selected from the original layer of black palm soil in southern China. It is a weakly acidic soil accumulated in subtropical humid areas for a long time. It is rich in organic matter and a variety of trace elements. It can provide lasting fertility and is processed into granules using advanced technology to provide stable support for the roots of aquatic plants.It is the best choice for water plant cultivation.

We use natural soil as raw material, and use processing technology to add plant extracts to stably release nutrients so that aquatic plants can get long-term and even nutritional supplements, with strong roots and lush branches and leaves.
Polymer water purification technology effectively controls GH and PH values, and can perform multiple long-term decomposition and treatment of water quality to simulate the original aquatic plant growth environment, making the fish tank water clearer.
The new polymerization solidification technology makes the internal structure of the water grass mud more stable, durable and not easy to powder.

This stuff is great if you have already set up your tank and need to put in more soil. Doesn't cloud the water and fills in the places you want it to go easily. No need to break down your tank.

Need to rinse a lot of times before adding to aquarium even thought it says you don’t have to rinse it on package. Made a cloud of brown at top of water and made a brown cloud every time I messed with it to plant plants then I tried removing product and rinsing it over and over could never get the brown water to clear up and made the bottom of my tank look like muddy water nasty very disappointed.

I upgraded my tank to a larger 10-gallon size and this Hygger aquarium substrate worked great for my tank. I'd highly recommend it!Cleanliness: Right out of the bag, the substrate was fairly clear of particulates but I still decided to cycle the water a few times just for my fish's safety.Quantity: The amount of substrate was as advertised, with the bag weight just slightly above the advertised 6.6 pound quantity. The back of the bag has a table specifying the quantity needed for tanks of different sizes and it specified this bag would be enough for a 20 gallon tank; however I found it to be just enough for my 10 gallon tank so if you have a larger tank you may need multiple bags unless you're also using other substrate layers such as soil.Appearance: The color of the substrate is as advertised. Unlike some of the other rock substrates I've had, I was surprised to see that the color was fairly consistent between the dry and wet substrate.Tank design: I really like the look of this substrate in my tank; the contrast between the black substrate and my green plants and brown driftwood looks very clean. The black substrate also helps visually bring out the color in my fish, snails, and shrimp which were harder to spot when I had a mixed-color substrate.

I'm new at this - I haven't had an aquarium since I was 10. I'm actually trying to make a gardenscape fountain in an aquarium. I had no idea how to add plants to the tiny river without constantly clogging the filter with dirt & debris. This stuff fixed everything. The fountain only flows with a mild current. So far so good! I didn't know it'd be such an easy fix.

these are good small pellets. They don't float and create cloudy water. It provides good root support for anchoring.

This stuff makes your aquarium.Really Murky It never really clears up even after running a filter for over 48 hours.Is stuff breaks up in the little pieces and sand like particles. Is not a very good product

Killed most of my fish when I added it to my tank I would not buy this product again
