I use this filter for my 150 gallon tub indoor turtle pond. Turtles are very messy and this keeps their water clear. I have to clean it about every 1-2 months to keep the flow going. For anyone considering it, just remember that it is a pre filter for the pump. Water flows through this and the tubing on the way to the pump, not from a pump and then through the filter. Cleaning is quite easy. Just undo the 3 tabs then rinse and squeeze the sponge and spray any junk in the filter media.

Just what I need to keep my pond sparkling clean. Plenty of surface area to trap debris, lots of water flow. Hoping thjis extends the time between having to pull the filter out of the pond for cleaning - the previous one had to be done every 2-3 days. Also, very easy to hook to the pump with flexible tubing. This would be a 5-star rating if you included 3' of flex-hose - I had to buy 50' to get a little piece.

I replaced an older box filter with this one because of its lower profile and smaller inlet openings. My old box would let larger debris in and the filter media would fill quicker. Upon setting this up I noticed an increased flow right away that I can attribute to the larger outlet diameter than my previous setup. I have a small pond water garden (270 gal), with fish and a 575 gph pump. Within two days of cleaning winter debris and installing this filter, the water was clean and the larger particles had not gotten through the smaller openings. I also purchased a second filter pad to keep a clean one available. One week later I changed filter pads and the dirty one was very easy to clean. Construction seems durable and I like the way it sits slightly above the bottom of the pond.

Installing a customer’s pond and decided to use this filter system. It arrived with the ceramic cylinders missing. My project is behind schedule because of this. Frustrating. Overall the filter seems to be ok. Time will tell and I’ll repost updates.

This is a great filter. I have a small pond with about 20 Goldfish. My 300-500 GPH pump was constantly clogging from debris. I was cleaning it every 3-5 days, so decided to look for an inexpensive filter. This one was easy to install. It doesn't come with connecting tubing, which would be nice. I cut about 6 inches off the exit tube and it worked perfectly. I installed it at 6pm and the next morning by 8am the water was crystal clear. Now let's see how often I have to clean it. Note: I also have a UV filter to kill the algae.

Well, I had high expectations for this product, but I can't seem to test it out as it came without the fittings and the media. I wanted to try this on my pond to see if it would be better or can be used alongside a canister filter, but now I need to know if I can find fittings for this product or return it.

My little pond was murky and the pump needed cleaning every 3 days and fountain would stop working. Well this filter system has made me enjoy the pond so much more! Water is crystal clear and I can read the label on at the bottom of the pond! Pump working great and fountain no longer reduced to a trickle. I go weeks between cleaning it. Wish I’d bought it sooner. Only comment I agree with from other reviews: they should include the tubing to go from their filter to your pump...

Cleaned up my 250 gallon pond that was a mess in literally 24 hours. I recommend this filter for sure. I just cleaned it out for the first time after 4 days and back in she goes! Love it
