I originally purchased the 28'x30' netting to cover my aquatic garden to prevent leaves from falling in. I was also having trouble with a heron getting to my fish and had tried other preventative measures, all of which were unsuccessful, so I was hoping that the netting would also stop the heron. Indeed it did. Although the heron tried for several hours, it was unable to get to the fish. I snapped a photo of the heron standing on top of the netting poking its bill through the holes trying to get to the fish.(1) The netting was undamaged by the heron's attempts,(2) leaves are not getting into the pond,(3) and my fish are safe.Satisfied with the purchase. The stakes are small but would be sufficient if leaves were my only issue. I ended up weighting the netting edges down with bricks. This way I can lift up an edge more easily. Additionally, the holes are about 3/4" square, so perhaps too large to stop pine needles or other smaller debris.

We use this to cover a pond in our backyard that has 2 enormous oak trees towering over it. These nets are now into their 2nd season, and they work wonders for keeping the leaves and even branches out of the pond throughout the fall and winter. The stakes that come with it are almost useless. They break very easily. I won't take a star away for that though as you can pick up metal landscape cloth staples at your local hardware store pretty cheaply. The netting is the winner here. I give that 5 stars.

I ordered this netting to protect my pond from falling leaves as I have several large trees nearby. The netting is dark in color and does not block my view. I can see the fish and water plants fine. If the net is tented in the middle, you can shake it to remove the leaves it has collected. I think it works well, just wish it had a frame to hold the edges down although, bricks do the job quite well. For the price this is a very nice net, I would order it again.

This net is perfect for my pond and stopped the leaves and junk from getting into my pond. It is made to last season after season. I've had 3 nets in 3 winters and the other 2 barely lasted the winter. I priced many nets and even buying in bulk without the stakes to secure them. The same net is more than twice the price in many locations. Fast delivery and easy to use.

This netting is flexible and was easy to put on and I really thought it would help. I have a small pond and normally keep chicken wire over the top to keep out the animals and protect my fish. It is elevated and not against the water. This net went over top of it and is pretty much a waste of time except to keep off large maple leaves. Anything smaller than that goes right in the water and then the whole thing has to come off to skim out any leaves and debris. For me it was a waste of money. I'm still looking for something with smaller holes that is not stiff and unflexible.

Great value for the cost. High quality fine to medium mesh netting. I used to stretch out over my 8x8 foot backyard pond. The pegs/stakes that are included are made of high impact plastic and do a great job of keeping the net in place. Thus far this net has been successful in keeping leaves, small branches/twigs, dogs, and my wife from getting into the pond. Keep in mind that if your dogs or your wife are more persistent than mine, they may gain access to your pond.

This netting is working great! We put it on when it arrived in October. It is now 2 months later and it's doing well. We have a lot of wildlife, so I've seen the deer drinking through it and a hawk dove down for something and landed on the rocks where we'd pull it up to place under rocks. He didn't like the netting experience with his feet. It was funny to watch. It was easy to stretch and seemed very tough. It's definitely doing better than any other netting we've used in previous years.

This netting is cheap and very stretchy. If you stake it every 6ft or so, it will stretch at the stake points, but it will leave large gaps between stakes.Other netting I've purchased before was a little more expensive, but maintained its shape and provided uniform coverage, including along the edges of the pond. This product needs to be staked literally every 2 ft or so and it still leaves gaps and looks very untidy. I am throwing it out. Not worth it.

Our pond is approx 30'x60'. Bought these to keep leaves out of the pond.Sewed two together and because the product is stretchy we were able to cover the entire pond beyond the edges. One issue - Each fall a couple of frogs have been caught in the mesh. Rescued a few but unfortunately a couple died.Product is not super strong but were really aren't super gentle with it. This is the second fall we've put it on. We take it off before the snow/ice arrives - but so far it's held up good.

The sizing is good but the mesh is a bit wider than anticipated - the planned use was as a leaf net but small to medium leaves will likely fall through
