We have a drainage issue at the south end of our house, where water builds up next to the foundation in heavy rains. The water has to be pushed up a slight incline to get it away from the house. I had a 1/2 hp pump that could barely get the water through 10ft of hose, so I bought this 1 hp pump. It's amazing! It cleared the water in about 10 minutes, through a 30ft hose plenty far away. I mean, it pushed water! As you can see, it has to sit in heavy mud, so I took a 5 gal bucket, drilled holes all the way around about 1/2" from bottom and a hole for the hose a few inches higher. This way, the pump sits in the bucket, not directly in the mud. It had no difficulty with the sediment/particles that made it in the bucket but I learned from the smaller pump that sitting it in heavy mud is not good. Once the rain has passed, I'll rinse it in clean water.Super easy to use, really quiet, and plenty powerful for my purpose. It made life considerably less stressful during this last storm.

Works great!! Gets a large amount of unwanted water out FAST! There was also a lot of debris and it hardly ever got stuck. (Only once with a large amount of fur that I was quickly able to pull out.) Very happy.

This was my first opportunity to use the pump since I purchased it. I ran it for about 2 hours draining ponded water from my backyard. It worked fine. Most of the time I had it pump under the fence but for a short time I had it pump over the fence with no problem. I only wish it had an auto on/off, but for the price, I am satisfied.

This replaced a smaller volume pump used to drain a hot tub. The higher volume quickly drained approximately 450 gallons and did so with minimal effort on my part. definitely worth the investment.

This an amazing little pump. I bought the 1hp version to drain a pool. The MAJOR factor that limited my flow was 200 ft. of 3/4 inch garden hose. 12,000 gal pool took about 24 hours to drain. I had no issues with the pump at all. It works very well.

I had an external pump that would take 4 hours to drain my hot tub so I purchased this submersible pump and what a difference! This was easy to setup, connect to a garden hose, and drained the tub in about an hour.
