Each training ball has two sides. One side is the more advanced with multiple levels of spin, while the other side is more simplistic, making it perfect for the beginner trainee.
Instant feedback is provided using pool chalk. Aim, stroke, and then see if you hit where you aimed. The Aramith Jim Rempe Training Cue Ball can also be used with slow motion videography to get a full picture of your shot and areas that need improvement.
The Aramith 2-1/4" regulation size training cue ball was developed by American Professional Pocket Billiards player Jim Rempe, who was inducted into the BCA Hall of Fame. This cue ball is marked with rings and targets on the surface of the ball, allowing you to practice judging the effects of very particular amounts of sidespin, topspin, backspin and other forms of cue ball control. Intended to help players of all skill levels improve their game; one side of the cue ball is designed for beginners, and the opposite side provides instruction for advanced players. It's crafted from the highest quality phenolic resin which provides exceptional scratch and impact resistance. Each billiard ball adheres to the most stringent specifications in the industry, ensuring superior playability and durability.
Also included is a 56 page instruction manual which provides instruction on how to properly use the training patterns and offers additional tips and tricks to help you learn to control your cue stroke.

You never really know where you're striking the cue ball. Well, at least I didn't until I made this purchase. Since chalk transfers easily on to this cue ball you get instant feedback. I instantly know where I struck the ball after the hit. My first lesson was that I'm not hitting my draw shot no where near as low as I thought I was. Which taught my why my draw isn't as effective as it should be. This doesn't just work with draw but center ball hits and more importantly English. Ridiculously priced but much cheaper than an actual instructor.

The instructional book shows where to hit the cue ball to control where the cue ball will end up. It does not show where to hit the cue ball to get a desired shot. It's purpose is after the hit, not before.

Finally - this is exactly what I ordered! Aramith balls come packaged from the factory with description, instructions and with a booklet to learn how to use their various training cue balls.This one - did not despoilment! It was delivered - right on time, original packaging and YES - it's White! The color, weight and texture feels rich and all Pro. I just received it and played with it through my lunch hour.... I couldn't be happier with it's performance More importantly, though, I received exactly what i paid for. I don't mind paying 40.00 for a great cue ball. I would recommend this Aramith Jim Rempe Training Cue Ball to friends and family. Well worth it! As you may already know, Aramith is a Top manufacture of pool products, so but from reputable sellers. Again - I love this cue ball!

The only downfall to this was that the booklet that came with it really wasn't very helpful except in the very beginning. Once I actually figured out where I wanted to hit the ball AND where I wanted the ball to go after, I simply had to use YouTube videos which worked fine. Other than the booklet, the areas you aim on the ball are clearly written and one real bonus is that the spot you shot really holds chalk nicely so you can take the ball right back to the same spot on the table, shoot again and she what happens when you change the the smallest amount of angle. My game improved by 20% simply by just doing the same shot over again and adjusting a little each time, and being able to see where I hit the ball each time was all good!!! If you are new, it's the ideal thing to have!!

Excellent training aid and even for use as your main cueball. As you can see from the chalk marks left on the cueball in my first photo, it showed me that I wasn't hitting as high or low as I had intended. Price is standard for an Aramith ball but this cueball delivers so much more in terms of value, highly recommend for established players and beginners!

It's hard to beat this thing which will show you all sorts of weird things about the cue ball when you shoot.You'll see things you're doing to the cue ball that you probably didn't realize you were doing.English and unwanted spins are the two that spring to mind.You'll see it right off if you look for it.It also has the added bonus of having graduated face spots to learn where to hit to create english.All in all,pretty slick.It's not cheap,but it will show you more about your shots than a measle ball.I recommend this for those that want to up their game and have stalled due to problems they can't seem to sort out.
