This kill switch fit and works well on my 1969 9.5 hpJohnson outboard. The wiring connectors of course don't match the original, but that's no problem for anyone with any basic wiring skills. I actually prefer the way the red button looks on my unit as opposed to the original black button, and the price compared to an oem switch made this an easy choice for me.

Worked as an ignition button for a 92 Mariner 25 hp. The diameter is slightly larger than OEM, and the length is a bit longer, so I had to remove a little plastic on the inside of the housing with a dremel. But it does the job at a fraction of the cost and looks fine. No complaints so far.

The switch does what it was made for and that's where it ends. The material used for construction is minimal, the wire guage is light and the connectors weren't compatible with my application, which isn't the makers fault. All in all, it's probably worth the price in a light duty application. Don't expect commercial or OEM service quality.

I have a 6 HP outboard motor for my sailboat's dingy that came with a stop switch that required the use of a device that had to be attached to the motor, and theoretically to the operator, so that the motor could be started and operated without this safety device in place. Removing this safety device would kill the engine.Theoretically this would stop the engine if the operator fell overboard.This was a real pai and provided a tiny amount of additional safety on such a small engine.A similar switch on another motor I had stoped working correctly and I could not get the motor to start even with the safety device attached. I had replaced that stop switch with a traditional button, like this one, and was pleased with that arrangementI have never seeen anyone with an engine with this feature actually attaching the lanyard on this device around his or her wrist.

Buena calidad a buen precio. Solo los cables un poco cortos de la caja del solenoide a donde va posicionado el botón para mi jetski seadoo SP.
