The Pro-Graad 1/4" Shank 1/2" Threads drill arbor adapter is a versatile accessory that allows you to easily attach 1/2 inch arbor accessories and wheels to your drill, drill press, or die grinder. It is particularly useful if you need to work at slower and cooler speeds, prefer the convenience of cordless or electric drills, or require the precision of a drill press for stationary tasks. The adapter is also compatible with die grinders. The package includes two Arbor Mandrels for Drill or Die Grinder with a 1/4" round shank and 1/2" threads, as well as a Wheel Arbor Adapter. The mandrel dimensions are as follows: overall length of 2-3/8", washer diameter of 1-7/16", and shank length of 7/8". Constructed with high quality in mind, this arbor mandrel features a sturdy integrated design. It utilizes two large washers with dentated edges that securely hold the wheels from both sides, providing optimal support and durability. Buffs with 1/2 inch holes are very common and so are 1/4 inch drills, buffing lathes, die grinders, and even the occasional flexshaft handpiece. These are good quality and run perfectly well at 3600 rpm. I use these all the time, they work.

Got this so I could mount multiple wheels for buffing using a drill or drill press in a pinch. Should be fine and all metal construction.

The shaft is not 1/4", it is 6mm. Your arbor coupling will not tighten down enough to secure - unless you want to warp your coupling and deal with off center vibration.

Not much to say other than it works perfectly, great grip on buffing wheels without any slippage. Nice large washers/spacers and nut very easy to tighten down.
