I've been looking for a forward and side-bar stabilizer for my Blackout NV-3 compound, but didn't want to break the bank with a name-branded stabilizer just to show off a brand. I knew I needed a stabilizer with a carbon tube, lightweight construction, and weight focused at the very end, but in addition to not being willing to break the bank, I was equally unwilling to buy cheap junk, or something that was designed with form over function. This Perogen stabilizer caught my eye because of the weights focused at the very end, ability to adjust the length by removal of the ~1.5" long rubber bumper at the end, minimalist design, carbon construction, and great price.Once I received it, I looked over every millimeter of the stabilizer and was impressed by the uniformity of the weave and the overall construction. It feels very solid with no obvious points of weakness in the build. I did not care for the "Perogen" branding all over it, but utilized some 500 grit wet/dry sandpaper, hand sanitizer, and then water, and after some patient and even sanding, found the gaudy branding logos were easy to remove, resulting in a very attractive bare carbon shaft.Ultimately, I bought a 10" stabilizer for the front with a 10-degree downward QD mount, and then bought a 8" stabilizer for the side-bar. These do an incredible job at helping minimize accidental hand torque, effectively stabilizing my bow for everything from 20 to 60 yards. I recently did a walk-through course with flat, upward, and downward angles ranging from ~25 to 60, and found the front stabilizer (hadn't ordered the 8" sidebar yet) helped tremendously. I felt 100% confident at the multiple 60 yard shots. I credit the stabilizer largely for that. I've monkeyed with the weights a little bit to determine if there's a sweet spot for me, but currently have the front bar in the stock setup, and the sidebar with the rubber bumper removed. It seems to work for me right now, but may change again.I'd buy one of these again without delay if I lost one or if it got damaged through fault of my own.

Great value here on first impressions. Seems to be of decent quality. Good weight. Mounting stud could be a touch longer but works fine. Will buy again

Had been looking for an inexpensive back stabilizer for my bow. Was looking into a lightweight option without having to spend hundreds of dollars for one. Came across this item and did some research. Very lightweight due to the carbon fiber. In comparison to other name brands out there, this is a great option. It allows to remove/add weights easily by just unscrewing the rubber cap on the far end. Screw attaches easily with a variety of bow rods. I used this on my Bear Legit bow and it balances my bow perfectly. I have other brand name stabilizers and I can honestly say this is a stabilizer worth 2-3X its price. I saw different reviews where the item had no name brand and others did. The one I received at the name Perogen on it. Just keep in mind you might receive one with or without the brand name on the item.

I've had more expensive stabilizers that went this good. The rod is light but it has a good bit of heft out towards the end, where it's supposed to be. I have the 8", and it's about 10 3/4 from end to end not including the threads. I have a side bar adapter that adds almost 2 inches so it sets out a bit longer than it would without. I have it on my Darton Consequence, which is a bit too heavy (bow falls back after shot without a stabilizer). This thing balances this bow PERFECTLY, and it also quiets down the twang a bit (this bow is already fairly quiet). I wish they made a shorter bar for my side bar, but I will definitely put these on my other bows.

I was a little skeptical before ordering. A carbon stabilizer with weights and rubber dampener for this price seemed like it was gonna be junk. But I was pleasantly surprised when I got it. It works and looks good. It has a nice carbon weave look to it. And it is blank with no generic brand logo or anything too. I cut my own custom Hoyt stickers for it and it looks like it came with my bow. Good stab for great price

Compared to the many others on the market…this is a HUGE savings.I shoot competitive archery and can honestly say…this carbon bar is constructed and of the same quality as the competitors that cost hundreds.

With the extra weights then other brands! Makes it easy to tune and balance your bow! Helps tighten your groups! Even on a windy day!

Honestly, these bars should cost more. I am blown away by the quality, and build of the materials. I was so impressed I sold my Mathews Flatline bars and bought these instead.Couple of notes.1. Weights are 2oz each, so you will not be able to fine tune them as easy. But in a hunting rig, they give you what you need.2. The weight threaded bar diameter is not the same as Mathews. It is thinner, so this is something to be aware of if wanting to add more weight.3. Finished length of the bars will be approx. 2" longer than stated length you are ordering.4. Do not buy this brands back bar mount. It is not bad, but if you are going to spend money just buy a Shrewd Atlas. You will still be $$$ ahead.5. There are logos on the bars. They do come off with some effort. Acetone and steel wool.Honestly, I never write reviews but this was worth my effort.

A sturdy, well made stabiliser. Note that the length does not include the weights, only the rod. With the weights attached, the 12 inch model is illegal for Bowhunter category in Australian Bowhunters Association competition, as it exceeds the 12 inch limit by a good 2 inches. To be honest, the main reason I added it to my bow was to give me a third point to rest the bow on with a clip-on bow stand, so I'll use it without the weights anyway.
