Works well.The square area the mailbox is screwed into is more stable than the other cheap version metal post types.We carefully hammered the bottom part of the post into the ground using a wood block on top as not to mess up the post.Then we added the top part of the post and secured it.The box was easily attached to the post.Since I didn't use concrete I did hammer a painted black wood board into the ground directly behind the box to support the back of the box should it ever want to wobble then put two screws from inside the box into the board.This stabilized it well so the box doesn't lean or twist.Overall its a good post for the cheap price.Just use care installing it.

After orienting position so rain could not enter if opened, pounded a 1.5 foot length of 2 inch pvc into pre- dug 1 foot hole in soil, straightened and back filled and packed soil around tube. Using a 4 oz tube of silicone caulk, coated metal spindle and worked it into pvc. Hardened over night, mounted my Architechtural box. Looks great.

Love this. We ordered with the mailbox but did have to drill holes in top to fit the box as the holes didn't line up. It looks great though and Strong too. Delivery fast.

I mistakenly bought an almost identical product from the same manufacturer from Amazon Warehouse and the end was damaged and bent from the previous buyer, and somehow it wasn't checked for quality control.This time I bought it new and a couple things:The Youtube video is much better than the somewhat confusing instructions (lists 8 washers but doesn't diagram where the extra 4 go, I figured out by implication, but it should be clearer for dummies like me who hate putting stuff together.The video is good but why have graphics obscure key points (like what about those extra 4 washers) For the basic installation (normal sized mailbox where you don't need the extra attachments), it's screw then washer through each of the 4 holes with a 2nd washer and the nut attaching from the other side. Make sure you tighten with a wrench.

Worked for what I needed but, not that sturdy. Metal in the pole is thin. Would take much to bend it over. I concreted it in the ground and if I pushed on it hard enough I could bend it over

I used quick rete to make sure that it stays level and secure. It was very easy to assemble and my old mailbox fit on it perfectly.
