Pleasantly surprised how strong this unit is. Appropriate height for vacation style mailbox with lockable storage. Does not come with bolts. Requires cement foundation (I used 2 - 90lb bags of foundation cement) & requires 4 foundation "L" bolts, (I used 1/2" x 10" long - but had to drill the post holes on the bottom plate a little bigger), plus washers & nuts to secure post to concrete base. Plus you'll need 4 - 3/8" x 1" long bolts, + nuts & washers to fasten the mailbox to the top plate of the post. An excellent mailbox post, very well made, good welds, thick powder coat, very durable, appropriately priced.

Very pleased with this sturdy post used to mount mailbox on the sidewalk. Used 3/8 concrete expansion bolts on 4 X 10 inch base and it is solid! I used bronze spray paint to match my mailbox. Looks great.

I wanted to order a nice sturdy post that I could just pour a pad for and install. It is a sturdy post. Unfortunately I assumed that the size of the post would be the 41-45" above the curb height that the USPS requires. I don't know why anyone would make a post that bolts to the ground anything other than 41-45" but this one is 28" high.

Good, heavy duty post for my Oasis Jr. mailbox, that we were installing on an existing sidewalk. I wish it was an inch taller, but is doing the job as it is. One of the end plates arrived slightly bent, but that is the end we attached to the mailbox so we were able to make itwork, hence the 4 star rating. We did have to purchase anchors, and lease an impact hammer to attach the post to the sidewalk. It is very secure now, and the creeps who destroyed my old mailbox will be in for a rude awakening if they take a bat to this one.

This is an awesome post for my purposes, but it would be too short to attach to a normal mailbox, if it were mounted to the ground. I happen to have a 12" high concrete base to mount it too, which made it perfect. I believe they do make a longer version.

Very sturdy. Had to make cross braces for the bottom to be able to mate to my old pedestal mounting posts. The old posts line up 90 degrees to this post, so really could not line up the pre drilled mounting holes in the plate. If there wad an option to orient the mounting plate 90 degrees, this may then be easier to install on an old platform. Mailbox fit perfectly on this post.

Very sturdy, but for my service area, an 18" post would have been better. It is very easy to install
