The Archoil AR9100 Fix for Power Stroke Stiction
The Problem
Deposits and wear in the HEUI injector causes the injector to become stuck due to static friction, or 'stiction', and can prevent the injector from firing.
This causes 6.0 & 7.3L Power Strokes to suffer from hard starting, rough idling, reduced power and response, bucking and smoking until the engine is warmed up.
The Solution
Add a 16oz bottle of AR9100 to every oil change to eliminate hard start and drivability issues caused by HEUI injector misfires in 6.0L & 7.3L Power Strokes.
AR9100 will clean out HEUI injector deposits and creates a friction reducing film inside the injectors to ensure all eight injectors fire every time.
How It Works
HEUI injectors use oil pressure to raise fuel pressure inside the injector. Engine oil is exposed to very high temperatures and pressures in the spool valve and degrades, forming deposits. Deposits and the resulting wear create 'stiction', which can prevent the injector from firing. AR9100 removes and disperses deposits and forms a friction reducing solid boundary lubricating film. By removing deposits and reducing friction, AR9100 eliminates stiction issues.
Power Stroke Application
Use one 16oz bottle of AR9100 Friction Modifier to treat one Power Stroke.
We recommend adding AR9100 at every oil change. If adding to oil which is already in the engine, we recommend compensating for the volume of AR9100 to be added by removing some oil from the crankcase if necessary.

Pressure protection

Deposit reduction
AR9100 will gently remove and disperse any sludge, varnish and carbon deposits that have built up in the engine. Continuous use of AR9100 will then keep the engine clean.
Extended oil cycle
Use of AR9100 typically extends oil drain intervals. AR9100 increases the TBN of your oil which will help prevent it from becoming acidic aduring extended oil drain intervals. AR9100 also improves the oxidative stability of engine oil, reducing the rate of degradation.
Treat Rate
• Use 1.2 oz of AR9100 per quart of engine oil
• Use one 16 oz bottle to treat a Power Stroke
• Use 3.2 of AR9100 per quart for gear oil and hydraulic oil including power steering fluid.
Use at every oil change.

Added a bottle to my first 2003 7.3 pile change 5000 miles ago. Vehicle had been sitting for 5 years and smoked pretty bad on startup, plus intermittent injector issues sticking open or closed, causing smoke, bogging, and lack of power; then suddenly cleaning up and running great. Just changed oil again and on a 36 degree cold start: no smoke, faster warmup, smooth idle. Stuff really works!

I have used this twice now on my 2004 6.0L diesel. It's amazing and works when others do not. For my last oil change, I went back to a 15W-40 Amsoil product and instead of using the Archoil additive, I tried a massive amount of a competitor's product... 64 oz. of . This was a royal, big mistake. The first startup was a nightmare, and I immediately blamed the new oil and the bad additive. It sounded and smelled like my truck was going to need expensive injector work, belching white smoke and stumbling like an engine that jumped a timing belt. This wasn't all... I went ahead and checked my FICM voltage, found out that it was low, and ordered a new FICM.Well, the FICM improved the stiction a lot and made cold starts better. But it didn't go the whole way, and things during this cold winter started to get bad. Every trip I took, the stiction would be obvious at low rpm and high load... around 1400 to 1900 rpm, 5th gear, 45 to 65 mph, and going up hills with around 10 psi boost. The truck shakes, the passengers ask me what's wrong, and it's just unacceptable surging until I can force a downshift. Higher rpms are generally fine (4th gear, 2300 rpm, turbo singing its tune).So after a couple of weeks of better FICM voltage, the fuel injector stiction was bad again. It was actually more noticeable once the engine was warmed up rather than cold (like with the bad FICM). It was now time for another bottle of additive, this time just 16 oz of Archoil. I checked oil, added the Archoil, and drove a little to park it at the house. The next morning was the real test. It started great, and stiction had disappeared!! Yea. By the end of the day, having driven 100 miles or so, I could tell that about 75 or 80% of the stiction was gone, with a little low rpm stiction occurring at times. By the end of a week, I would say that 95% of it is now gone. Remember, this is with an already crazy amount of another product called "stiction eliminator" that hadn't done hardly anything. 2 weeks in, and I believe that they Archaic has achieved 100% stiction elimination.So having used Archoil twice now, I'd say that it should cover 80 to 99% of the stiction in the Ford Powerstroke 6.0L diesel. It did "wear out" after a long oil drain interval for me, and it may not eliminate all of the stiction. My only alternative is to go back to the Rev-X product if this doesn't cut it. But for now, I am an Archoil fanboy, and I would recommend it. I'll leave it in the truck for another good couple of months and see if and when it "wears out" again. I'm still impressed that just 16 oz of this product did so well! (My review of the Hot Shot's Secret covers some more details.)

I recently purchased the Archoil AR9100 Oil Additive and I have to say that I am extremely impressed with its performance. The product is made of high-quality materials and has a number of beneficial properties that have significantly improved the performance of my vehicle.One of the things I appreciate most about the AR9100 is its ability to reduce friction and wear on engine components. Since using this product, I have noticed a significant reduction in engine noise and an improvement in fuel efficiency. The AR9100 also seems to be helping to extend the life of my oil, as it has been able to maintain its viscosity for longer periods of time.The only downside to the AR9100 is that it is quite expensive, especially when purchased on Amazon. While the product is definitely worth the price, I can understand why some people might be hesitant to spend so much on an oil additive. That being said, I believe that the long-term benefits of using the AR9100 more than justify the cost.Overall, I would highly recommend the Archoil AR9100 Oil Additive to anyone looking to improve the performance and longevity of their vehicle. It is a high-quality product that is sure to deliver excellent results. Just be prepared to pay a bit of a premium for it.

I tried a couple of other 'Stiction' oil additives and neither of them really affected the cold injector issues and smoke at startup. With AR9100 I noticed an almost immediate difference. Cold start is much smoother and running till warmup is miss-free. Great acceleration when cold, no more miss. No smoke on startup either. Work every penny. Will use it at every oil change.

I have a 2006 F350 4 door chassis cab. I purchased this because I was having some hard starts in cold weather and injector issues. Added this at my next oil change and there was a noticeable difference in the sound of the engine. There was less clatter, smoother idle and a noticeable increase in mileage. Time will tell but so far I am happy with it.

I'm new to diesels. Acquired a 2004 6.0 powerstroke with 300k miles and put fresh oil in. Drove it with the fresh oil for a bit (few months) and it was kinda starting to stutter on the highway at constant speed. My buddy told me to put this in and wow! Can't believe the difference! People were telling me my injectors are bad, etc. More money down the drain, I was thinking. This is definitely the cheaper option and worth the money.

Ford 6.0, less white smoke at startup and the engine is quieter. Looked at a ton of reviews on both oil and fuel additives. Landed on this product for the oil. I cant say for sure it helped with the little bit of stiction I have a startup (resulting in the white smoke), but the truck runs much quieter with this oil. Its pricey but I will continue to run this with every oil change as I am trying to get the most of of this old 2004 6.0 F350.

My Truck was running like garbage! 2000 F-250 7.3L. Was throwing 9 engine codes, would barely start, usually wouldn't stay running, and if I tried to drive it anywhere it was an adventure, no power, could die anytime and strand you, a nightmare.So I bought this Archoil Diesel Fuel system Cleaner and Archoil9100 Friction Modifier. Expecting to be disappointed but willing to take the risk before spending big money on repairs at a garage.I dumped the products in, and tried to start the truck right away (block heater had been plugged in for hours). It was about -8C out; couldn't get the truck to run for more than 45 seconds. Did this 3 times.The next day after leaving it plugged in over night, it starts under duress, but I manage to get the rpms up to 2000 and hold them there for about 5 mins. I let the truck come back to idle and leave it idling for 30 mins. Come back outside and it's still idling, good sign, sounds good too. Decide I'll drive it 1 km down the road and see how it drives to the gas station, I needed to fill it up after all, I hadn't followed the mix instructions on the fuel system Cleaner. I baby it down the road. Fill it up. Decide to give'r a rip on the way home and it runs awesome, decide I'll rip to the next town and get a coffee, truck pulls and cruises at 120 km/h easily.2 weeks later ish ans still running great.Also I wiped the engine codes and ran it for a few hundred kms and now only have 1 code that shows up.Awesome product.

I would always see this product being marketed by a powerstroke youtube channel I followed for 7.3's so I finally gave a try on my last oilchange. My truck is a 1997 7.3 powerstroke, 267,000 km's. It never gets driven in the winter so sits roughly 5 months a year starting up once or twice just to move the oil around. The last few years in the summer when cold starting it would smoke more than usaul ( 7.3 normal straight pipe side exhaust pass side not cats) this stuff cleaned it right up, like night and day. The site would talk about sticktion in the rings and injectors, this product actually worked, the truck runs better cold, less smoke on cold start, no change in oil pressure( I've heard some additives are not what they say and can really mess up things) this product works and I would recommend it.

I cannot believe the difference this made in my 6.0L Powerstroke! I had problems with cold starts and running rough issues, I new it was the injectors again but this time I wasn't ready to tear the engine down. I heard about this product online and tried it, truck was running so bad that it would not start when cold without a bit of help from "diesel in a spray bottle" lol, So this is what I did, I changed oil to 5W40 synthetic because it sits outside and winter is coming and then added the 16oz bottle of Archoil additive then let the truck run at increased idle 1300-1500rpm for 3hrs because it ran that bad! Each time I checked on the gauges it seemed the engine was smoothing out but not 100% so I shut it off for the night to let it sit, the next day I started it without any help from "diesel in a spray bottle" but it still sounded like 1 injector was missing so again I ran it for 2hrs @ 1200rpm when I went back to check on the engine I couldn't believe what I was hearing or not hearing! This product works! My engine runs smoother quicker response on the throttle faster start ups, I've been using it for a week now and no issues with cold starting, rough idle or smoke in the morning, I will be using Archoil at every oil change interval, Thank you Archoil!
