I can't remember the last time our household bought an oven mitt. The time came as the ones we were using were wearing thin by the finger tips and the transfer of hot items from the oven to stovetop were becoming painful. To be honest, I was looking for an economical/utilitarian replacements to the ones we had (they were "fancier" ones from a fancy home store) and these were them. I found a like new warehouse deal for about 40 percent off new. They arrived new looking with no damage.The material feels like a heavier canvas type material which is more shiny than an all cotton mitt which would be softer. The thickness is good and heat resistance is also good. The design is fine, nice quilted pattern -- to me -- it doesn't look cheap at all. For someone looking for a basic oven mitt that is effective and looks aren't really that important this is a good value.As for longevity, hard to predict that, however, by the weight of the mitts and the apparent durable construction, it seems like it will last.

Great price, just what we were looking forward to. Hardy grip, perfect fit, neutral color and perfect length. Very heat resistant. And straps to hang on fridge.

I like that it doesn’t have rubber on the palms, but these do a great job. They’re just a bit stiff and bulky feeling. I do. Have small hands though.

These oven mitts are a reasonable addition to my kitchen. They are very insulated, with thick layering throughout the mitt preventing burns to hands, writs and lower arms. They are also stable to use directly on surfaces and laying pots and pans on top. I found the mitts easy to clean, just throw them in the washer and off you go and they look nice as well.The reason I gave them a 3 rather then a 5 is in their ability to use. For someone with large hands I am sure they are easier to use, however with small hands the insulation is very thick and difficult to manipulate. This makes it harder to change hands with hot objects and is extra pressure when trying to lift heavier objects.Overall, they are a good mitt and work as expected, however I would not purchase them again due to my ability in ease of use.

I use these mitts on the barbecue grill and they work great . My best thing to say about these gloves is that they are flexible and you can actually bend your fingers and thumb. Very soft inside and out . I looked for a long time and this is exactly what I was wanting !! Extremely heat resistant . Highly recommend !

I had two of those silicone oven mitts which I quite liked except for the fact that they were different. One was black and really flexible, the other was red and not as flexible. My husband insisted I throw them out because he thought they were dangerous. He says if they get a bit of any food or sauce on them they become very slippy no matter how you clean. So at his urging, I did throw them away and started searching Amazon for a new pair. These are lovely! They are thick enough that you will not get burned and still flexible enough that you can easily grip the pan or pot. I ordered the 15" so they come right up over my wrists which is very helpful. I also love that I got a matching pair in a pretty color for a great price!

I had been trying to replace a pair of canvas-on-the-outside-terry-on-the-inside mitts that had lasted for about three decades before they were accidentally scorched beyond rescue. The terry mitts that had temporarily replaced them couldn't be easily cleaned and started to fall apart when machine washed. These look like a great replacement. Easily wiped clean after any spills, seams bound for strength. The additional length has been great.

Hard to find oven mitts that are just not cotton or silicone. My daughter said the best she has had!
