Purchased this to remove a blade coupling on my lawn mower. There are a lot of choices for gear pullers. I don't need this tool normally, but when you need it - you need it. The buying point , for me, was its ability to convert to either a 2 jaw or 3 jaw gear puller and it looked solid. It indeed has a sturdy build quality and performed very well and it's visually a beautiful tool. I believe it will be a part of my tool arsenal forever. This was a great tool purchase. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Outstanding performance. I broke 3 lesser puller tools before buying this Ares 5-ton ratcheting puller. It made the job easy without any damage to the pulley or shaft. I just ordered the 2-ton also. Biggest problem I anticipate with this is keeping the other mechanics from walking off with it. Feet are a little wider than some others but they are low profile. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

After years of using the cheap pullers and having issues I finally bought a quality one and I now wonder why I waited so long!! The locking design is far superior to how the cheap ones are free floating which can have a tendency to shift.Cons: I would like to see an adapter to make the end of the center pin bigger for the small puller.A third puller in a medium size would also be very helpful.

Not recommended for use on gm 4.8L, 5.3L.. jaws are too small and the arms are too short to fit around the harmonic balancer even though the descriptions said it fits. Either way I returned the item and went to the company's website and found the right one and ordered it and that harmonic balancer came right off.

my friends puller failed me, this one works well, not a huge fan of the ratcheting arms but its not a big deal
