I recently purchased these snowblower skids for a 25+ year old Craftsman that was starting to show it's age. The original skids, when brand new, were nothing more than your typical bent chunk O metal about 3 inches long that rode along the ground getting caught on anything that wasn't completely smooth. In fact, they were getting so bad that they would catch and grab on even smooth blacktop. I had always wondered "why don't they make something better for these things?". In a nutshell, original snowblower skids kinda suck, right from the get-go.So I recently stumbled upon these universal replacement shoes and despite the frightening price of them, decided to take a chance.Wow.Let me go on record by saying that if I were to buy a brand new snowblower tomorrow, I would buy these shoes for it, and take the original ones and heave them somewhere into the dark, cobwebby recesses of my garage. Via con dios, poorly designed crap. These things are fantastic. For starters, they are LARGE and LONG, longer in fact than the entire bottom edge of my snowblower. Where the original hunks of bent metal (a marvel of engineering, indeed) were shorter than the bottom of the housing, which was starting to make the edges wear and bend, these cover the entire bottom and then some, making the sides much stronger, probably stronger than they were when the thing was brand new. They are a hard poly plastic, so they slide beautifully over ANY surface. Installation was a dream, with an offset cam for one of the bolts for precise adjustment for virtually any make or model. While the price is much higher than most replacement skids, keep in mind that they come 2 in a pack, where most replacement shoes are individual items to purchase. They are also reversible- when the bottom gets worn down, just flip them over and tighten the bolts, and you're good for another few seasons. So, for the "steep" price, you are essentially getting FOUR shoes, rather than one.If you are looking for something to make your snow removal easier (and who doesn't want that?), then get these replacement shoes, even if your snowblower doesn't need them yet. It's no hype and it's no joke, these things are awesome.Winter, do your worst. I'm so ready for you.

I love the way my snowblower glides across the surface now very slick a tremendous difference between the metal and the hard plastic. I’m not sure how durable they are I will find out I like that I can turn them around if one edge gets worn out. So far they have impressed me. It’s the little things that make the biggest difference. They are incredible so far I wish I had them sooner. They glide like a dream over cracks and my stone driveway they are a nice contrast color wise to the red on my snowblower they appear as oem but better then original equipment. They are very study and feel very solid on the snowblower. installation was as simple as it gets I used just one 1/2†boxed wrench 🔧 and had it done in 5 minutes from start to finish. They adjust easily and when adjusted do not move or travel so they stay put.I’m not a pad endorser of this product and this review is by far my longest one. Oh and I bought these for myself out of necessity. As it is at this time I’m in love with these shoes because anything that makes my life easier is a plus in my opinion. And these surely fit the bill. Also I like that they are universal and sometimes I have found that universal parts do not always fit properly. However these bolted on perfectly. I gave these shoes a three star durability rating only because the durability of them has not been proven to me as of the time of this review. In fairness only time will tell. I do expect that they will wear out somewhat quickly because they are a thick plastic as far as I can tell. Plastic and concrete are not friendly together. I used them for an hour straight on concrete and gravel surface’s and they hardly show any wear so far. Minor surface scares but no significant material wear

This us a universal set which is great, and it worked fine on my snowblower, but there were parts for use with multiple systems. There are really no clear instructions so you have to use your intuition to figure it out. They are super easy to install if you know what you are doing, but if you struggle with mechanical ability at all you should get set specific to your product or take it to a shop.

I bought these for my 29" Craftsman snow blower even though some of the reviews I read were not very positive. I don't know what their problem was because these fit just fine and were very easy to install. The only thing is that they are a little long but that doesn't really matter. Haven't had any snow yet so I haven't really tried them. They do however seem to glide right along on my cement garage floor. Whatever the product is that they are made of (some kind of plastic or polycarbonate) is very sturdy and I believe they will last a long time especially seeing that I can flip them over and use the other edge. Much better and MUCH cheaper than the Craftsman replacement parts.

It took me way too long to realize that the original slides/feet of the snowblower needed replaced but did not anticipate finding an adequate replacement. Not only are these adequate, they rock! They're easy to install and glide so well that even cracks in the concrete pose no challenge for these. As another reviewer mentioned, the washers to hold the slide in place can imprint dents into the plastic and make future adjustments a challenge to keep in place but, like they said, they just cut down the feet of the original slides to spread out the pressure so the slides don't become indented. I don't have the capability to cut down the originals so I think you could just use larger washers to spread out the pressure. None of this is enough to take away any stars though. They're a great product.

Nice product. Should have done this years ago.Easy installation. Looks like it will adjust to fit any hole spacing. Comes with hardware in 2 different sizes. Hardest part was getting the old rusty bolts out. In the picture I have old slider laying next for comparison. New ones allow snow blower to slide through snow much easier.

Bought these to replace the steel sliders on my Toro 724. They fit perfectly and slide very nicely on the ground. The smooth finish protects the driveway from scratches and slide nice. Definitely recommend them.

Unfortunately, although these poly slide shoes are supposed to be universal, they do not fit our snow blower/thrower.

Replaced metal shoes to prevent damage to newly installed brick work on the driveway. Multiple holes and two sizes of bolts means it is likely to fit many models of snow blowers. Fits my 30 year old Craftsman Snow Blower. No instructions included but simple to figure out. Just have to really tighten the bolts to make sure they don't slide when subject to frequent use.

This ski set was easy to install and made our snowblower so much easier to navigate in our yard, saving shoulder and back strain, reasonable price for what it does for the operator. It will interesting to see how they will hold up over the winter.
