Love this board to secure watercolor paper. Nice size and very sturdy.

This is a great size for many uses. I use it to paint on, draw when I am not around my drawing table. It is not too heavy so it is easy to cart around. Really like this. When it is worn out I will get another one.

Works well for what I use on it. Great for sketching, charcoal and acrylic, I've even used it for oils on canvas board. It's study and keeps paper from getting distorted. I use a double sided at tape to hold my Yupo paper in place and when I peel it off the is no damage, even if I left it sitting over night or several days euthanasia tape on it.Must have for any artist.

When one usually thinks about a hardboard panel such as the one I purchased, one considers a nearly two-dimensional plane of compressed wood particles, but this product is so much more.Even going beyond the fact it is three-dimensional with a thickness, this panel exceeds every expectation one would have for a piece of wood. It has a smooth side, and then the other side is lightly textured! Perfect for allowing Gorilla Tape to adhere without loosing its grip!I am reminded of the famous words of this country's 19th President, Rutherford B. Hayes, who said, "An amazing invention - but who would ever want to use one?" This august, former leader was, of course referring to the telephone, but his sentiment is clearly applicable to a piece of manufacture wood-substitute made of compressed cellulose. And to President Hayes' query, I rise up to say, "I wood."(By the way, my panel arrived in a badly damaged shipping box, but this brave little hardboard panel came out unscathed and now serves me well.)

Wasn't thrilled with the surface finish on this, just a tad scratchier than the stuff I buy at the hardware store (for cheaper...). Was trying to save myself a trip by adding this to a bigger order but wound up having to replace this anyway. Would probably work fine for painting or watercolor stuff though.

I bought this board (it is a single board - my cost at the time was about $15) about 9 months ago and today I finally got around to measuring, scoring, and cutting it for use as a drawer bottom on a 50+ year old 3-drawer pine dresser with one drawer bottom that had failed. I needed something thin enough to fit in the grooves but firm enough to support a little weight (drawer will generally be used for odds and ends). It took me a long time to find something to fit the bill and so far this looks like it will. The drawer has been reassembled with the cut board in place and the drawer joints have been secured with a little wood glue. The whole thing was then clamped for drying. Will see how it holds.Edit 12/25/16 - Almost a year later and this has worked out beautifully so far as a drawer bottom and has held up well.Edit 1/15/18 - 2 years later and still going as a drawer bottom (with a good amount of stuff in the drawer)!!!

I got this board so that I can work on more than one painting at a time. My other board is one of those with a handle and clips, but it is also quite heavy, so I thought this might be a good fit. It's perfect! My medium is Inktense and I'm not shy about using water, so there's always a risk of warping the board. Not with this one. I've done two pictures using it and it's exactly what I needed. Also, watercolor tape (not the kind that needs to be wetted, the sticking kind) sticks well to this. I use thick watercolor paper, so I don't stretch it, but rather tape it all the way around the edges to the board. Even when I've really wetted the paper with a series of washes, the tape sticks to the board and the board takes the water. It's also considerably lighter than my other board.

Super flimsy...not great for drawing on or for stretching watercolor paper:(
