I'm a big fan of compression, especially for live sound. In this case, I bought the ART limiter to use in 4:1 compression mode on the output stage of my small live rack, usually used for things like bar trivia. It works immensely well for that, giving my voice a greater overall presence while keeping music and other sound files at a nice, clear, audible level. Basically, if you're looking for a simple, easy to dial in compressor/limiter, I recommend this one. So far, Ive been absolutely satisfied with it.

It serves the pupose of smoothly decreasing the audio dynamics for low level listening. The setup instructions were very limited.
