My first order of the easel was broken. The company was very nice to send me 2 new ones to make up for it. Both were in great condition and exactly what I was looking for. Very easy to put together.

That photo on the Amazon page of the little kid reaching up to paint on the easel--don't be fooled! The very top of the easel is only a touch over 4' tall, so that child must be, like, 2 years old, or photoshopped in. It gives the impression that the easel is much taller than it is. But the Amazon description is accurate in terms of height.All in all, though, it's a very strong and sturdy item. I have it currently holding a large canvas (36" x 24") in bold, heavy wood frame, and it's holding up just fine. Perhaps not stylish enough for a nice living room, but plenty fine for a work presentation or office. Definitely for display, though--I don't think I'd want to use it for actively painting on a canvas. I've got a different easel for that.

This easel is really elegant in person. It is very lightweight and easy to tote around which will be perfect for events. Assembly was straightforward and quick. Just know that any framed pictures or canvases thicker than 1-3/16†inches will not be able to be secured inside the L shaped ‘hooks’, and instead will have to rest on top of the ball shaped ends. Wish this measurement was mentioned in the listing description, but I didn’t see it. There are some canvases with thick 1.5†profiles so be sure to double check the depth of your display before purchasing.
