Looks just like the picture. Perfect to use as a talking stick, which is what I bought it for. It’s too short to make the rain sound for very long, but it does for a short time. I read in a couple reviews that it either had nails sticking out OR that the end came unglued and beads fell out. Mine has NO nails in it, it’s very smooth. Also, the end piece seems to be solidly glued, so I don’t think that will be a problem either.

This rain stick is beautifully made; sturdy, smooth and pretty. I bought it for my classroom of 1 year olds and it’s held up so far through banging, dropping, drool and more. I gave the product 4 stars because I do wish that it made a little more noise, but it’s short so I guess there’s only so much you can put in it. I also deducted because the bar code sticker that was put on it has left a residue that I can’t seem to remove & makes the stick tacky right where you hold it.

This is so well made and has a great sound! Fantastic design and construction. If I were still a teacher, I would purchase several! Our 4-year old AND 7-month old grandsons love this.

Good product but if you want the satisfying sound of a rain stick I would recommend getting a taller size. (I got the 10 inch size and it doesn't last long each turn)

I purchased the rain stick and was excited for it to arrive. I purchased this for my grandchildren to use as I wanted to expand their music collection.Unfortunately, when this item arrived, and I opened the package, the quality was extremely poor. When you put the stick in your hand, you can actually get splinters off of the wood. There are fine fibers that are sticking out instead of it being smooth. This is not great for adults or children.Then, when I return the item instead of giving me the full refund, they are charging me a restocking fee for the item and only refunding me the tax that I paid. This is not Amazon. This is a fraud.

I was worried this was a bad purchase based on other reviews, but that isn't the case. It's plenty long enough to make the "rain" noise, you just have to tip it slowly. It is shorter than other options, but I don't think the size hinders the performance of the product. My two and five year old both like it and can handle it fine. Ours also didn't have any sharp parts that needed filing, maybe we got lucky or maybe they've fixed this issue. Overall I'm happy with it. Great authentic rain stick!

My two young grandchildren really like it. You have to turn it s-l-o-w-l-y to get a rainy sound effect. My grandkids naturally flip it too fast, but then I demonstrate the slow version, which makes them smile. It's worth the inexpensive price; it's not loud and annoying like some noise-making toys or instruments.
