ARTEC A1-OSJ Surface-Adhesive Piezo Pickup

The A1 Piezo pickup is designed to capture the natural resonance sound of various instruments. It can be mounted inside or outside the instrument's surface using reusable adhesive or double-stick tape. This pickup is compatible with the EDGE-Blender series or passive systems with an output jack or cable.

I got this to amplify a ukulele I have. I didn't want to make major modifications and this worked perfectly. It's not the fanciest option but it definitely gets the job done.

I have a few acoustic guitars that true old-school guitars with zero electronics. They play and sound great but other than sitting in front of a microphone at the soundhole there was no way to play them amplified. This little stethoscope looking gadget does the trick just fine. It may not sound as rich or offer the volume and tone controls of a more expensive system but it does give decent tones and I can easily swap it from one guitar to another as easily as changing a guitar strap. If you have some old non-electric stringed friends that you'd like to use in an amplified situation, this is an inexpensive and easy way to go.
