Artistic wire is one of the only brands that actually holds really well and hardly tarnishes. With extreme wear it will, but it's really quite good and it's the best brand I've found and it's the only thing I use for all my jewelry other than 925 sterling silver. I've been making and selling jewelry since 2017 on Etsy and in local gift shops and this is my favorite brand!

I usually prefer to use a sturdier 21 gauge when I create jewelry components, but this 24 gauge was such a great price! Looking the bright, shiny silver over, I was pleased to find the same tarnish-resistant treatment applied to its thirty feet as was on my previous purchases of thicker wire. The 24 gauge wire was easier to work with, because it was thin. I didn't always have to employ pliers to bend and place the wire exactly where I wanted it. It was also easier to cut. However, I still prefer the 21 gauge for making earrings and linking beads, because these connections must bear up under tugging and pulling over years. The 24 gauge is too mutable for that. It will continue to change shape at the slightest tug, even after the customer has purchased the jewelry. This small-gauge wire would be best for wire-wrapping beads, creating ornaments, or doing other crafts in which a single strand will not be the weight-bearer for the project.

Bright, stays bright, durable, easy to use. Favorite wire. I try others and always ALWAYS regret it and come back.

Love Artistic Wire! It allows me to create jewelry with the look of precious metals, without the cost! Accept no substitutes!

I purchased this from Beadaholique.I appreciate Artistic Wire as it comes in so many varieties and is very affordable. Non-tarnish means that the wire is covered in a thin coating that prevents tarnishing. The coating itself is like a varnish. When you are careful with how you handle the wire, the coating stays put and protects the wire. It's best to use nylon covered pliers and take care when hammering. You could re-coat the wire with a similarly protective substance but it's very easy to damage the plating when the coating has peeled off, since the silver plating layer is VERY thin.

Beautiful craft wire. Perfect for jewellery making. I ordered a number of items on the day I ordered this and this was the last thing to arrive however I can't complain as it did come within the originally promised time frame. Great product, next time I'll buy a larger amount as this was way to little for me.
