I wanted a holder for my 12 inch clock to sit on the table. I bought the black one first(as seen in picture) and it was okay..just didn't like the way the clock sat in it(it sat back..slanted). So I saw these clear ones which made the clock sit up straighter. It was delivered and very easy to put together(directions very clear with pics..only 2 pieces) sat the clock in..adjusted it(which is a nice option)so the clock was sitting up straight...and perfect! Looks great too! Looks like the clock is standing by itself because it's a clear base. The clock is light and it bears the weight fine..but I think it can handle heavier things because it's flat and square.

Upon receiving the stands they are tightly packed in a small brown box. The convenience of these over the easel sets is you can set these a different levels depending on your item. The blue/green plate in my picture is approximately 16 to 18 in circumference yet has no problem being held in place. I was hesitant on purchasing these being as I had previously used the more traditional easel style plate holders, yet these looked more sturdy and invisible. I was extremely happy with these as they are definitely stronger, less obtrusive and lightweight. I was actually impressed at how much weight they could hold as well as the back standing up even when the balance wasn't perfect. I did find that for plates such as my large one I did not leave it out on a table with nothing behind its back just in the case it gets knocked off balance. I I feel more confident having at least the backing of the cabinet against the plate since it is so large. However I loved these so much that I have not used my ones that open like an easel I purchased, those have been put away in a drawer. The stand is two parts. The base and then a moveable back piece that fits into the stand at different levels making it deeper as needed for bowels of large wide frames/plates. I actually purchased a second box and have used it all over my home along with the clear table stands I've also reviewed. I waited around a year to comment testing the strength and durability. I'm actually considering a third box as we've been increased our collections and not one of the stands has given way, bowed or broke. If you're looking to hold a large or small item that has deep crevices similar to a bowl or uneven shape this is the stand you would like. Easel stands require wire of rubber bands to hold them together when angeling your item whereas this stand allows you to set it however suites your needs. It hides in plain sight with a very clear plastic base to where the only things seen is the beauty of the piece in it. Definitely worth the money in my book. I want visitors to say how beautiful the plate is not comment about my stand.

So depending what you want them for, they get the job done. As for myself. I use them to display my steelbook movies. The downside is they are very fragile, and can be quite difficult to put together. On some of them the plastic shape was not quite cut perfectly and some plastic remains which you have to try to break off without breaking the stand. I broke 2 of mine. There seems to be a lack in quality control. Once they are together they are very difficult to adjust or slide the back stand so you can decide the degree or angle of what you are displaying. Honestly though, for the price, and a little extra work put in. They are worth what you pay for.

To put my special CDs on display in my custom, LED lit, glass door and shelf IKEA Kallax shelf unit. Don't waste your time looking elsewhere, this is what you need to hold up your CDs.It looks great, it's sturdy and fits together snuggly, it's super simple to assemble and performs as expected (it held up the CDs perfectly) and is incredibly stable.

I purchased these for a crafts show table, they are wide enough to be stable, held the coin pouches up well, andthe signage too, they come apart for storage.

I needed a stand to allow the picture to stand almost upright. Other stands typically cause the picture they are holding to angle back. Easy to use and sturdy.

It's just two plastic pieces that slot together easily. You can move/adjust the support once the two pieces are together, making it very easy to adapt the angle for whatever you're displaying. Super simple and effective.

It certainly is built inexpensively but it does the trick. I only needed two but I found a use for three. They are fragile to put together but I did not have any problems. The price point was fine for me.

I have a large heavy platter that we wanted to display. The space we were using has limited height so we required a stand that didnt add any height to the platter. This stand worked perfectly. Easy to put together and sturdy enough to handle the weight and height of platter.

I ordered these to display a book on the top of a short bookcase but the front lip is not large enough to hold a book, especially at an angle. You could use it to hold a book upright if you bring the back piece forward all the way to the back of the book and have the book standing straight up, but the lip on the front is pretty short and with any kind of angle the book just slips right off or the front lip digs into the middle pages of the book because the cover is now above the front lip, and the book won't sit right. If they doubled, or maybe even tripled, the height of the front lip it would solve that issue, but as of now, do not buy these if you plan to put a book in there. Looks like it works great for plates or other thin, sturdy objects though!

These feel like they can't stand up but because they are easily adjusted they allow even heavy items to be displayed. I have hem displaying a light weight clock/calendar. No challenge. You will be more interested to know I have two antique track and field discus on display too. One is pretty big and heavy but within the size limits in the description. By having the heaviest one stand a bit more upright the weight is not a challenge...though I tested in a more raked back position without any concern.
