I got this for my wife for Christmas,, she plays a ukulele. She has several with built in pick ups and so far this is working great! We spent a weekend trying out all the settings and she has found the ones she likes. She also plays in a small performance group and is about to introduce this to them, should blow their minds!! This is an inexpensive unit and for a first timer, great!! We really liked the drums that comes with this as we can set the rhythm and she can just jam. I would be inclined to recommend this is anyone!!

I use a modeling amp at home but play out at open mics. I bought this for that use.PROs:This gives me a compact, battery powered (AA cells or wall adapter) and extremely versatile and compact unit that I can use easily to add some compression, reverb, notch filter or other effects to my acoustic guitar. I use a wireless transmitter plugged into the guitar and the receiver plugged into this NUX unit. Sound board or PA plugs into the NUX. Fast and simple and effects and controls are easy enough to navigate. Screen is small but good. Color is nice. Reasonably well made but plastic, not metal cased, so not for heavy touring use but that is not its function.CONs:Are the effects as subtle and controllable as on a $1500 processor station? NO.Will it tolerate tour abase? NO Case is plastic.Overall this is a great accessory for light stage use or use at home to learn how to use the effects and so on without having to spend many thousands for something you may not like or use later.Saves me having to take an amp in order to use a few effects when playing away from the house. Value for price is a good balance.

Cool little multi-effects pedal. I bought this to use at smaller gigs instead of hauling around my normal analog pedalboard. Takes some tinkering to get it set up the way you want it, but it's pretty straight forward. Effects are surprisingly pretty good and I was genuinely impressed. Some of the effects, especially the compressor, don't have all the variables that I would like to adjust, but for the most part it get's the job done. You have to take the time to set up your own presets though, because the stock presets are all absolute garbage. Just delete them and make your own. If you don't know how to build a pedalboard (i.e. which pedals should go where in the signal chain), you will have a difficult time getting any kind of decent sound out of this thing.The drum machine sucks, but could be useful for practicing I guess. The loop function is cool, but limited. The thing cost $99, what did you expect? lolMy biggest complaint is that you can't just turn the effects on or off. You have to scroll through the presets you've made to get where you want, so for instance if your clean preset is slot 1, but you're using a compressor/drive preset that you stored on slot 3, you have to press the down pedal twice to get back to your clean channel. I managed to work around this by setting every other channel to the exact same clean settings so no matter which pedal I press, it will essentially turn the effects off. I just have to remember which one I pressed and make sure I press the other one to turn it back on. This would probably be better solved with some kind of ABY pedal, but I'm not that committed to using this $99 effects pedal to start throwing more money at solving it's shortcomings.EDIT: I did end up buying an ABY pedal so I can bypass the effects when they aren't needed. This makes it easy to set up presets for specific songs and I can just scroll through them as the gig progresses. The songs where it is not needed, I just hit the bypass and run my signal through a tube screamer then straight to my amp as this is my default setup which I know and love. If for some reason I screw up a preset and things come out all wonky, at least in this situation I can fall back on a sound that I'm familiar with and have something that I know I can work with in any situation. Since adopting this setup, I've been using this pedal more and more and I gotta say that it works extremely well for what it costs. It also runs on my 9v power rail with no issues so it has found a spot on my pedalboard even at larger gigs for some of the effects it offers that I don't have an analog version of.Long story short, it's well worth the money, but it will take a LOT of tinkering and tweaking to get the sounds you want from it. I don't use any of the amp modeling features, so I cannot comment on their quality, but that may be useful for those wishing to run this in a home studio type setup. Take the time to set it up right, and this can be a very powerful little Multi-FX processor.

As I said am a rank amateur. I know next to nothing about guitars. I can play "Plush" by STP, and other easy songs, but I'm nowhere near ready to do anything serious. But I absolutely love them, and I have 2, and I try to play at least once a day.... UNTIL NOW.When I got this device, I had no idea what to expect; I have 3 pedals already (overdrive, vintage delay, wah), so I know how it sounds when you send the guitar through a distortion pedal, for instance. But what I got from THIS pedal blew me away! Distortion, delay, reverb, rich clear sounds already dialed in! Just plug and play! You don't even need to turn on the amp to tune! I'm not saying that there's not a learning curve; you may have a bit of trouble with the recording feature, but you learn things quickly-especially if you read the manual. But, if you love guitar, you have fun learning, because each thing you learn adds a new dimension to what this thing can do! The beat machine is handy and full of great beats for whatever musical interest you have. All in all, it's easy to use, inexpensive, versatile and fun. I read a really bad review, obviously written by someone who wants far more out of whatever they have, no matter HOW good it already is; don't listen to the whiny nay-sayers.If you're thinking about getting one, STOP THINKING ABOUT IT. GET IT. You won't be disappointed.

Seriously, I'm blown away by just how much this little setup can do. Does it sound excellent? Of course not, but why would you expect it to? But if you're a beginner or a casual player or you're looking for something cheap and portable to drag busking or for travel, you cannot go wrong, it sounds more than good enough. The customization/edit features are crazy, in some ways it exceeds what even my Peavy modeling amp can do. The unit feels well-built enough.So yeah, this thing is great. The presets are really good, the jam beats are nice (my only complaint would be that the jam beats need more time signature variety. Almost all are in 4/4 but a few 12/8, 6/8, 3/4, etc. options would be nice.

Suono da poco ,e ho voluto azzardare un multieffetto....bhe il prezzo ottimo e la pedaliera magnifica con moltissimi effetti e tanti settaggi, ma il tasto mixer in auto sistema i vari effetti per chi non ha molta dimestichezza i primi tempi effetti che vanno dal pulito al distorto all'effetto "Wah Wha" ! Stupendo e completamente modellabile ai propri gusti.Consigliato per chi sta imparando e per piccoli concerti semi-pro.

Auf der Suche nach einem Ersatz für mein angestaubtes RP 70 von DigiTech, habe ich drei verschiedene GitarrenEffekt-Geräte im Bereich zwischen 50 und 100 € gestestet.Wurde aber vom deren Sound her enttäuscht, da keines besser war als das was ich hatte.Dann bin ich auf das MG-100 von NUX aufmerksam geworden, was mir bislang unbekannt war.Die Testberichte in YouTube haben mich neugierig gemacht, deshalb hab ích mir den MG-100 bei Amazon von Asmuse bestellt. Die Lieferung ging relativ flott.Nach dem ersten Test (ohne Deutsche Bedienungsanleitung, die aber umgehend per Mail nachgeliefert wurde)hat mich der Sound der Presets doch sehr positiv überrascht.Nach einigem Probieren, Ändern und Anpassen an meine Vorstellungen, war ich dann voll überzeugt das richtige Gerät für meine Anwendungen gefunden zu haben und das noch zu einem super Preis.Das LCD-Farb-Display lässt sich im Live Modus sehr gut ablesen. Die eingestellte Gruppe kann man noch aus 3 Meter Entfernung am Boden erkennen. Zum Programmieren und Ändern der Einstellungen im Edit-Modus sollte man das MG-100 aber lieber auf einem Notenständer stellen. Relativ einfach können dann individuelle Einstellungen, und Tunings vorgenommen und auch abgespeichert weden (36-User-Speicherplätze).Einige der Presets waren für mich ohne grosse Änderungen für meine Musikrichtung anwendbar.Zum Üben ist der eingebaute Drum-Computer und der Looper hervorragend geeignet.Das Stimmgerät funktioniert super. Die ByPass-Schaltung ebenfalls und das ohne grosse Höhenverluste!Die eingebauten 13 Gitarrenverstärker-Module sind schon beeindruckend, ebenso die 11 Lautsprecher Modelle.Abhängig von der Musikrichtung, (für mich Country und Country Rock und Schlager) habe ich für mich die passenden Kombinationen gefunden.Ein Gitarrenverstärker ist nicht unbedingt erforderlich (aber besser), es reicht auch eine Aktivbox mit 20 - 30 cm Lautsprecher...Habe einige Effekte an meine Halbakkustik Jazz-Gitarre angepasst, ebenso für meine E-Gitarre, sowie meine Western Gitarre. Das Ergebnis lässt sich hören, bzw. verbessert den Sound erheblich.Durch das Volumen Pedal ist eine Lautstärkeanpassung sehr schnell möglich. Man sollte aber darauf achten, daß das Pedal anfangs immer ganz durchgetreten ist, sonst meint man das MG-100 funtioniert nicht!!!Auf den letzten Seiten der Bedienungsanleitung ist nochmals tabellarisch aufgelistet, über welche Effekte und Einstellmöglichkeiten das Gerät verfügt. Hier gilt aber auch, weniger ist oftmals mehr....Zum Üben, bzw. dazuspielen von Musik lässt sich ein MP3 Player oder auch das Smartphone über die 3,5 mm Klinkenbuchse mit einem entsprechenden Kabel anschliessen. Die Lautstärke dazu kann nicht über das MG-100 eingestellt werden. (Macht man ja eh über das Samrtphone oder den MP3-Player)Damit das Platikgehäuse etwas geschützt ist, habe ich es neben meinem Gitarrenvokalisten in das Case eingebaut. (siehe Bild) So kann es nicht unabsichtlich beschädigt werden.Das MG-100 wird bei meinen nächsten Live Auftritten (40. Geburtstag + Silvesterparty) mein neuer Begleiter sein.
