It really fits well and keeps the seeds, feathers and water contained. Plus, I have a bird that likes to open her doors so this keeps her from breaking out of her cage as well.

The bird seed catcher does contain the mess in the bird cage.However, it would be well to have it open and not a circularpiece of netting. On my cage I have to remove the catcherin order to open the cage door. What I did to make it easierfor myself, was to rip the seam, hem each side and put the now vertical split by the door of the cage. Now I have a seed catcher and I can open the cage door without havingto remove the catcher.

I bought one of these and quickly discovered although it catches the seeds the wind from wing beats tossed a lot of seed hulls over the side of the net, plus poor cage design left a gap at the bottom near the tray. I solved this by simply buying two! Now the entire cage is covered and nothing falls out and when I clean the cage I simply open the bottom net and let the seeds fall out outside, or i sinch the bottom one right and take it off and it holds the mess til I can shake it outside :) works great!
