Works just fine and as advertised. Works with my T-ring adapter with no problem.

I use it most nights I view and seems to be a good choice. I have not used any other product so I won't try to compare it.

I bought this Barlow lens not expecting much given the low price but I was pleasantly surprised. The item appears well built and the image it produces looks sharp across the field of view. I'm sure there is some degradation since a Barlow lens places more optics in the path, but I don't notice increased degradation.I am located on the East Coast, not the best place to observe planets and deep sky objects. So the weak link for me is the atmosphere. That may obscure any image degradation caused by the Barlow lens, but for me this was a great buy for the money.

Maybe it's my eyes but I did not see a 2x magnification with a 12.5mm eyepiece.

I have wanted a Barlow lens for a while, so got it with Mother's Day gift card money. I liked the price and The brand name is known among astronomers.

This 2x barlow is fine for what I bought it for, “lucky imaging†of the planets with my 8†Newtonian. It arrived quickly and was adequately packaged. Build and fit look good and performance is adequate for the task. I give it 4 stars because it works perfectly well in my system and for my purpose. YMMV.

The 2x Barlow works with eyepiece magnification, however, there was an unacceptable amount of purple fringe. I was unable to focus with the Barlow when attached to my Nikon dslr or Olympus mirrorless cameras by T-thread, which was attached to my Orion 80ST telescope, even with a 2 1/2-inch extension tube. Manufacturers description is all hype.

Stuff is bigger with it in. Smaller when it is not in.
