- This specialized dovetail mounting base fits factory drilled holes on most Meade, Celestron, and Orion telescopes, allowing you to add a high-quality Astromania aiming device for enhanced performance under the stars.
- Compliable with finder scope, Laser Pointer bracket or reflex sight bracket on telescopes, great for adding a second or third aiming device to your telescope. The dovetail base accepts the bracket of all Astromania finder scopes and EZ Finder reflex sights.
Easy for Installation
Two large knurled thumbscrews makes it easy to install and detach your finder scope or reflex sight, even while wearing gloves. Bases feature two large thumbscrew locks to secure the finder scope bracket in place. There are two attachment screws to hold it to your optical tube assembly. Just put it on the optical tube and tighten the screws.
Aluminium Alloy Material
Precision machined dovetail base in matte black, made of high strength aluminum with anodizing aluminium process, durable for long time use. The aluminum material makes the product lighter and easier to carry.
Multi-Compatibility
Drilled (but not threaded) to accommodate screws up to 5mm in diameter. Center-to-center screw hole spacing on your telescope must be from 10.2 to 30.2mm in order for this dovetail base to be compatible. 2x M5 button head hex screws are included in package which are fit into the recessed slotted mounting holes and do not protrude, so they do not foul the finder base.

Ordered this to mount the SvBONY SV182 right angle finder scope on my Celestron Nextstar Evolution 8. This was advertised to "Fits factory drilled holes on Celestron...". Needless to say that the mounting hole spacing was about 1 mm off the spacing on the SCT. Forcing would have stripped the threads on the SCT and possibly snapped the screw. About 15 minutes of work with the Dremel on both slots gave me the clearance needed. After that all was hunky-dory. 3 stars because I had to modify to fit.Update: Received feedback from Astromania where they identify their B07JGZV9YQ or B07HHWGKS8 as having hole spacing that should fit the larger SCTs and not require any type of modification. Worth the slight extra expense to avoid any issues. Kicking up the rating to 4 for the customer service.

You have to remove the screws from the finder. And you can install their small screws including with it. It will fit as best.

The cheap finder on my Meade LS 8 broke, and this helped me with installing a new finder because the mount that came on the telescope wouldn't actually fit anything that I could find for sale.

Recently bought a telescope and discovered the finder scope was subpar and could not be collimated to the telescope so I bought a HUD optical finder with dovetail mount and ordered this base plate to hold the finder. Bolted up to existing holes. Rock solid. Finder fits like a glove and most importantly the finder is now collimated to the telescope allowing for fast acquisition of objects.

Used to mount a 60mm guide scope to my Celestron 8SE SCT. Screw holes aren’t quite right but I could get them tight enough to not have any problems. Holds steady and has been working out great.

Lastima que no indican las limitaciones de incompatibilidad de este adaptador, con algunos instrumentos. Por ejemplo si el equipo en que lo pretendÃa utilizar, solamente tiene un (1) tornillo de soporte. No hubo forma de acoplar.
