This is now my favorite eyepiece. The zoom function on this eyepiece has the perfect amount of resistance when turning. Images are very clear and sharp. Does a good job of holding focus while zooming to max and min points. In my opinion this eyepiece gives you the best bang for your buck. I will update this review in about a week if anything changes

It did exactly what I expected for the price. Great field of view and crisp visuals. However you loose ALOT of FOV while zoomed in.

I now have a very good eyepiece for my visual observing of the celestial events that everyone should take notice of. Astronomy, even just visual astronomy, is fantastic and now with this Zoom eyepiece I will enjoy the creation aloft. This eyepiece will save me time and money. Thank you for your great products, Astromania..!!

Well built. Metal and good lens quality. The zooming is a great advantage when trying to fine tune some objects as the lunar craters. A bargain.

Got this to reduce the number of eyepiece swaps. We have an 8 inch reflector and we look at a lot of galaxies and nebulas. It's nice to have the low power (21mm) for locating objects, then zoom in without having to change eyepieces. The focus does change, so you have to refocus especially when you go below 12mm, but it's not bad. The image isn't quite as sharp as our single-power eyepieces but it's more than good enough for casual viewing. I would definitely recommend getting one of these, and keep it if you sell your 'scope for your next one!

I recently got back into astronomy in August of this year. The original eyepieces that came with my telescrope were horrible. The only thing I could see was the moon. After watching various eyepiece videos online, I decided to try an all in one zoom eypiece. Awesome purchase on my half. It's so much easier to use the 21mm setting to locate my desired object and then just change the setting to 11mm or 9mm to get a closer more detailed view. No more using 25mm, taking that eyepiece out and going down to 10mm and then knocking your telescope out of alignment. I've been able to see much more with this eyepiece. Besides the moon, I enjoyed viewing Jupiter and even Saturn. I didn't see Mars that well. When I went to the mountains, I was able to see Polaris and Vega. I loved going out and seeing the positions of Jupiters moons change through out the week. I even used this eyepiece to see the 2020 Great Conjuction of Jupiter and Saturn on 12/21. It was awesome to see Jupiter and Saturn in the same frame. They looked like there were an inch apart. Very cool! I'm extremely pleased with this purchase. It does the job well and at a much more reasonable price than some other well known brands.

Not what I was expecting, the first night using the zoom lens, unable to focus below 11mm, just a haze, at 21mm not much better, its like looking through fog or a smoke screen. I even tried it without my 2x barlow and still a dull picture, I thought it had too much magnification but noo, there is even a yellowish orange halo around the circumference of the lens and at night it transfers the halo to the sky objects, my standard Meade SCT telescope lens have much sharper clearer views, the FOV on this zoom lens is very narrow, and I can go on more with the flaws of this zoom lens, the concept is good for not having to change lenses but this is ridiculous. Totally not impressed, waste of money, not recommending this cr.. to anyone, Im sending it back and purchasing a brand name product for a lot more money. I really thought of keeping it but I cant, $50+ bucks is a lot of money to waste. It may be useful for terrestrial viewing but not astronomical, much improvement needed in all areas, sorry for this review but that's what it is.

It's a well built lens that does exactly what it says. The rotating zooming piece feels sturdy and doesn't feel like it will break anytime soon. Image quality seems fine and I haven't noticed any issues with lighting or focusing. Zooming in from 21mm to 7mm is fairly seamless and easy to do without taking your eye off the target.
