I recently upgraded to the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 PRO, and I have to say, it's an absolute powerhouse. As someone who is very particular about my network setup, especially for gaming, this router has blown me away.Design and Build Quality: First off, the design is sleek and modern, typical of the ROG line, with RGB accents that can be customized via online webpage. The build quality feels premium, and it’s sturdy enough to sit proudly in any home setup. The heat dissipation is also impressive, as it doesn’t get too hot even when running heavy loads.Performance: Where this router truly shines is in its performance. Equipped with the latest Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax) and tri-band technology, it provides a super-fast and stable connection. With speeds up to 10Gbps, my online gaming experience has never been smoother.Gaming Features: As expected from an ROG product, the GT-BE98 PRO is packed with gaming-centric features. The Game Boost function ensures that my gaming traffic gets prioritized, which means less latency and smoother gameplay.Coverage and Connectivity: The coverage is excellent, currently have it meshed with another ROG router to cover my whole house however even without the mesh router it still covered my whole house.Final Thoughts: If you’re looking for a high-performance router that can handle heavy gaming, streaming, and multiple devices at once, the ASUS ROG Rapture GT-BE98 PRO is an outstanding choice. Its advanced features, sleek design, and top-tier performance make it one of the best routers on the market for serious users.I highly recommend it to anyone who demands the best out of their Wi-Fi setup. It’s a solid investment for both gamers and those who just need a reliable, high-speed network.

UPDATE 2.10.2025This thing is a beast. Been connected for 2 months now with no reboots or anything disconnecting. I have 90 devices from Phones to bulbs and everything in-between. From 2.5, 5 and 6 ghz including 5 Wifi 7 devices. All work perfectly.ORIGINAL POSTTo start I want to say that if you have any kind of security system or other Wi-Fi going in the background you are going to have connectivity issues. And that doesn't matter what router you have. I had the Asus axe16000 and that's why I bought this cuz it was having connectivity issues on the 2.4 GHz and I thought it was a router problem. Then when the BE98 Pro had the same issues, I started digging. This router kept disconnecting from the 2.4 GHz Network that's if it would connect at all to certain items as well. After 3 days of troubleshooting I finally figured out that the Eufy Homebase 3 was the cause. I just got some new cameras that hooked up directly using the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi directly from the Homebase 3 basically canceling that radio out. All of the radios 5gz and 6ghz worked. When I unplugged the Homebase 3 everything worked. So now I have the cameras hooked up directly to the router and got rid of the Homebase 3. No more problems. This is my third ASUS router in 10 years and it's the best. What I really like is they went back to the lights in the front so you can see what's going on clearly. The adjustable antennas make it really great for getting that signal in all different directions. Something all the competitors don't do for some reason. The Guestnet Pro feature where you can separate the Iot devices on their own subnet away from the original Network is a must and works great. Also something the other competitors don't have. It also separates the subnet for real security. Super fast speeds, no difference between Wifi and Ethernet

I don't normally write reviews but I wanted to share my thoughts on this one because I was so excited for it. I did return this to Amazon slightly after the 30 day return period because they made an exception but this router was such a disappointment.I don't know if the hardware was faulty or if the software was just junk but this router could not keep devices connected. I have quite a few IoT devices as well as general of the mill devices like tablets, iPad, and phones. All PC devices are hardwired via ethernet either directly to the router or via network switches. Ethernet devices worked flawlessly (should be standard, not something we hope for in a high-end router anyway but you'd be surprised.)However, Wi-Fi is another story. While the newest firmware allowed you to enable MLO, nothing worked properly. MLO or not. Devices, regardless of IoT or my Samsung S24 Ultra, were randomly dropped. My Alexa devices would constantly get kicked off and an error message that a wrong credentials were entered. My pool equipment which is a pain to power cycle through would not last 3 hours before the connection to the equipment would get dropped. I was honestly floored, my last few Asus routers have been a little rough but none like this. What's worse, little devices like my cat's litterbot 4 or water fountain wouldn't even connect to Wi-Fi. If I used my tablet in my bedroom, I could barely get 10Mbps compared to my previous router. This thing just isn't it.I have a strong bias to Asus and normally love their products, but the last few years have been rough. Between spotty hardware, atrocious software, and lackluster motherboards on pc builds. I'm starting to shy away. I picked up the Netgear Orbi 970, router only, since I don't need the mesh and haven't been happier. Everything connects, no dropped devices, full speed almost anywhere in the house, and I get speeds equivalent to my fiber connection. Hope this helps some peeps looking at this router.

Easiest router to set up. All signals are as advertised and some even more. I used my ax88u Asus as a node and in my opinion this is the best setup out there . Security is what was expected as well. No dropped signals at all. I can go on and on but just buy it you won't be sorry and I am somewhat hard to impress
