I had to make some mechanical changes to get it to fit properly. The flywheel teeth were dragging on the bottom of the cover. Tried adjusting it a few times and after removal, adjustment and reinstall, three times, I used a dremel to cut a vent notch and bent the tin down slightly in the bottom where it was scraping. No more noise.

not chrome and well not fit my 400 gm transmission to wite 4 inch to long to bolt, over 30 days cause whating on my transmission to be built

I ordered this for a 400T mated to my 350. I had to redrill the holes on the sides and cut a large amount out around the starter. Finally I put the one side on first and pulled it hard to attach the other side. A lot of work.
