I’ve been looking everywhere for a heim joint for my tire carrier. One that attaches my tailgate to the tire carrier. This was perfect.

The listed center to center dimensions for the 2.5†unit are incorrect. The unit I received would only extend to 3.75â€. In addition the machining quality of the item is poor, one eye gimbal wouldn’t move and one internal threads was tapped at an angle. I was also charged a $6.50 restocking fee to return this defective item.

The LH threaded nut appears to be drilled and tapped with a hand drill. It doesnt sit flat on the female threaded rod. You may want to plan on buying another LH nut if you plan on using this product. I guess the price should of had me questioning the quality of the heim joints and it’s other components. It is clearly visible in the product pictures of this item. They do a good job at hiding it on the helm joint with the nut turned all the way to the top. Sneaky.
