I only wanted the gingerbread man plunger as we were making cookies as a topper for Christmas cupcakes. Finding a small enough cutter that still resembled a gingerbread man was much more difficult than one might think. After purchasing and returning several different cutters this was our last hope. The plunger was absolutely perfect! The overall size, shape, and thickness were ideal. The embossing was deep, crisp, and flawless every time. I would have paid the price for a single plunger alone and still left a 5 star review. We used the other plungers on the left over dough and was just as happy with the results. You will not be disappointed.

Works very well and entertains young chefs. Easy to use. Cut dough with the cutter and then push the plunger down to make the stamped impression adding the details to the cookie. Works better than the old fashioned cookie cutters that stuck. These you can lift up and press the plunger down and the dough will be pushed out for you, no sticking. Small, bite sized cookies would also be great as cupcake topper. Can be used for pie crust designs too. Highly recommend. Hand wash and air dry to last a good long time.

If you're buying these as cookie cutters don't get your hopes up. They are for dough that doesn't puff up such as pie dough. They make great decorative toppers for pie crust and they might work for short bread cookie dough. They are small and I just couldn't see myself cutting such small cookies. I bought them to give a nice touch to pie crust and they work great for that!! If you use them for puffy cookies you lose all of the cute marking that are on the inside of the cutter. They do work great with pie dough though and I bought enough to "theme" all the pies I bake!! Update 12/2013. I see where these are very popular for cutting out shapes with fondant cake frosting. I don't decorate with fondant so I can't review how well they work for that. Seems like they would work well though.

These are very cute little cookie cutters. However, they are much smaller than I expected. Good for tiny cookies. I was hoping to make cookies large enough to frost and decorate, but I had to change my plans. However, these cookie cutters have detailed embossed designs, so decoration wasn't really necessary. My four year old son LOVED the springs, which allow him to push the cookies out onto the cookie sheet. I'm a little concerned that the spring may rust after repeated washings, but there have been no such problems so far. All in all, a great product to make springtime or Easter cookies. The springs are a great novelty for kids.

such a nice set of cookie design!! details are perfect, just sometimes cookie though stick deep inside then I need to wash it of and start again. But it's very minor, all family and friends can't stop complementing about the cookie printâ¤ï¸

These cookie cutter plungers are great, and it is nice that Ateco has made plungers for the major baking holidays (Christmas, Easter, and Valentines. These plunger cutters are nice to use to make cookies like animal crackers, toppers for ice cream, decorate pastries, piecrusts, or toppers for cupcakes. I also buy the William Sonoma piecrust cutters because they are similar in size (slightly smaller) and have a touch more detail.Nevertheless, Ateco has brought out a product that leaves lovely impressions on your cookies and has motives that are very versatile. I used the bear, heart, bunny, and butterfly to make mini cookies that I dusted with pastel colored sugar for baby shower cupcake toppers.Tip: If the dough tends to stick to your plunger dip it in flour to prevent sticking.

I have a ginger cookie recipe that I have been doing for years, but they require icing decorating. Because this was taking too long (and the icing recipe is highly sensitive to weather) I was looking for cookie cutters where I would not have to decorate them with icing if I didn't want to.These work very well and are very easy to use. Simply press down to cut the outer perimeter and then gently push the button to imprint the cookies. If you push too hard, it will cut through but it was not hard to get the hang of it. These worked really well with the dough I was using (based on flour, egg yolks, butter, sugar and spices). The construction of the pieces seems pretty durable. The only thing I wish is that they were a little bigger. They are about 1.5 inches long each.

I got these because I wanted to make gingerbread men small enough to go on cupcakes. They seemed a bit expensive, but I was short of time and couldn't see anything else that looked quite right. The sizes are ideal for this, and also for topping mince pies. I've never used cutters with a press before, but they worked well, the dough came out easily and they look great.

These cutters are great. The plunger ejects the dough and leaves a perfectly shaped cookie. These are well made and worth the cost.
